| I have a couple of questions about this and have not been able to find the answers out on the brilliant RFL website and announcements...
Firstly, does anyone know how / if you can get tickets for the South Stand? Online on the RFL site they are not selling tickets for either the SS or the Western Terrace. Do you know if they are selling tickets at the Headingley store and if you can get ones for the SS there if so?
Secondly, does anyone know the rough schedule / timings of the games? I am meant to be at work at 7pm that night - again I've not been able to find any information on this. I'd assume that the 3 games will kick off around 1pm, 3pm and 5pm (meaning I could go and just be a half hour late for work, if needs be).
Not sure if others have had an email offering half-price discount on tickets this weekend as 'single celled organisms' with the Rhinos this season? I would much rather be in my usual SS, rather than paying half-price to sit behind the goal or in the uncomfortable wooden seats for 6 hours!
Thanks for any info provided

| Ok, so I have found that the Championship 1 game is at 4.05pm and the Championship final at 7pm. Not sure when the trophy final is, but assume 1pm or so.
Will have to try and find someone to cover for work in that case!

| Are any of you going to this?
East Leeds v West Hull - 11.45am
Hunslet v Oldham - 4.05pm
Leigh v Fev - 7pm
With the half-price offer on until 5pm today, I frankly think it is daft not to go - £12.50 max for a day of rugby? Plus, I suspect it might be a chance to watch some decent moves being palyed out - and we all know it has been a while since we had any of those to cheer on at Headingley!

| I'm ordering Tickets in 30 minutes, like you say it's 3 games of Rugby League at HQ.
Decent day out hopefully.
Question which hasn't been answered yet is do we know if the South Stand is open?

| I had a reply from the RFL over the weekend it said;
"We have not yet released the South and West stands, these will only be released if the North and East stands are full, this will be very unlikely at this stage as we still have tickets available."
If you look on the website, not even the parts at the front of the North stand are avaialble to buy yet.
Also, the 'Leeds50' discount code (which is valid until 5pm) is not working on the site today, so you have to call them up in person and quote it to get your ticket with the discount!
Which I did - £2 fee for doing so, so my half-price £25 ticket actually cost me £14.50.

They have updated the website since this morning when I last looked;
https://www.eticketing.co.uk/rle/detail ... emref=9927
Looks like I am going to be sitting in with the Leigh and Oldham fans, as I got my ticket before this was announced.
I had chosen where I did so I would have the same view as where I have from the SS (though from the opposite side, obviously).

| This has turned out to be a bit of a fiasco in terms of how they have done it - unsurprisingly the code has done the rounds on the forums so there was a frenzy of calls from Leigh fans this morning until somebody selling the tickets twigged and started asking them to prove they were from Leeds, whilst Fev fans were understandably somewhat aggrieved to find that half-price tickets were available for Leigh's section but not their own.

| All seems to be of been a bit of a farce if I'm honest.
I got asked all sorts of questions this afternoon and even now I've no idea if I've got my ticket.
They did say they would send me an email...nothing.
Typical RFL yet again.
Jamie - Do you have an email address I can contact the RFL?

Jamie - Do you have an email address I can contact the RFL?'"
I had emailed the Rhinos ticket office and presumably it got forwarded on. I got an email back from;
ticketing@rfl.uk.com
I had my season ticket with me when I called - I think the Rhinos have stuffed up more than the RFL on this one in fairness; advertising it as for 'season ticket holders / members' then putting an article on the website that everyone can see. So when I called up today, the bloke wanted me to physically say 'Leeds50' without telling me to say it (I had said 'I am calling as a Rhinos season ticket holder entitled to a half-price ticket, but your site won't accept the discount'). The RFL's fault is in not taking a membership / season ticket number as mandatory when people have been calling up.
So actually both are at fault - Leeds for setting it up and the RFL for not putting anything in place to keep scammers out once Leeds' actions had given them the chance to try and scam.
And I will be surrounded by all those Leigh scammers all day on Sunday, which will be lovely! If any of you guys are about, let me know if you want a drink with someone relatively sane / together. There'll be plenty of time!

| The 'scammers' was a bit tongue-in-cheek in response to the comment saying that lots of Leigh fans had used the code, whereas fans of Fev (for instance) had not been able to use it because the ticket-sellers had cottoned on to it.
Nothing personal against Leigh fans; they were taking advantage of Leeds' / the RFL's lunacy - but similarly it is slighlty unfair that they were able to take advantage but fans of other teams were less able to do so.

| I emailed Ticketing yesterday afternoon and as of yet no response.
I'll give it until lunch time and I'll ring them.
With the South Stand closed I've decided to have a change of scenery in the North Stand, Block C, Row E.

| I'm fortunate to remember simpler days when attending a RL game or event wasn't such a ball ache and one could just chillax instead. You just turned up, paid your admission at the turnstile and enjoyed the game.
These days, it's all about having to go out of your way to purchase a ticket in advance, whether that be online, over the phone or in person. But best to purchase a ticket several days prior to the event in order to qualify for a cheap discount. Better still, is there an offer code available? Does it get you a better deal than some other scrote within a highly competitive marketplace? <yawn>
It's the same ball ache buying a friggin train ticket or working out which utility company you should get your gas and electricity usage bills from. Nothing straightforward, just lots of unnecessary obfuscation and time-consuming hurdles to overcome just to avoid extortionate prices and being ripped off.
I've got a better idea.
This event (like so many others) can go get ******

If you've never been in the North Stand before don't be surprised by the all the equipment built into your seat.
The pillow is for your mid-half nap.
There's a complimentary flat cap.
The plastic bag and tube is for you to attach your catheter.
And don't forget the game only lasts 78 minutes for the North Stand in order for you to get out quickly and beat the traffic.

Aagh. The swines. They have opened the paddock up to be buy tickets in now. They weren't selling them yesterday - I am in the economy seating sized legroom seating above; ironically the most expensive area you could buy seating in! I might move during the day and just sit somewhere in the Paddock; presumably there will be plenty of gaps.
Of course always the danger that I happen to chose the seat of someone who later comes in and is a bit of a meathead..!

| Sure they were selling Tickets in the Paddock yesterday mate?!
No pass out option does seem strange with the gap from the 1st game to the 2nd so big, that will put a lot of people off.
Bit of a shame this is causing so much hassle for people.

Couldn't you go to the Carnegie bar? I know it isn't the same, but better than nothing?
I have no idea what I am going to do - I am going alone and want to catch the early game. I am interested to see if I am able to enjoy the whole day and how I will keep myself entertained.
I suspect I am going to be packing a bag full of sandwiches, sweets, a jumper (to sit on, being in the tiny, wooden seats), my ipod and a book or two for the gaps.
Right now it feels like the definition of a 'lazy Sunday'. Then off to work 9pm - 1am straight after.
Maybe there were paddock tickets yesterday, but not when I checked when I got my ticket at lunchtime on the phone.
