Now i would not want to start a Witch Hunt , but in last nights Saints v Wire game there were things said by certain players that looked as though they should be investigated and i am sure the R.L will go through the video with a lip reader as i presume they do now in all televised games as i would hate any group of people suffering from what might have been said .

Hopefully next season we'll have a lipreader joining the video ref's for every TV game.

Just a thought though - In every match players are using 'choice language' - Bearing in mind its a 'family game' as we are reminded by the match announcer should the RFL fine every player who swears???

Some of the chanting towards the ref from the Saints fans in the first half was a little unsavoury too. Naturally, I'm absolutely outraged.

I know I am being totally pedantic, but this is one of my grammatical pet hates... it is Inquiry not Enquiry. However, the OP's post is making an enquiry into whether the RFL should hold an inquiry... right, that has cleared that up and made me feel better.

Haha! I did just click on to this thread, expecting we were going to have to explain something about RL to someone unfamiliar with the sport.

In this instance they were probably meaning 'Inquiry' - their only saving grace is (as you say) they are enquiring about having an inquiry.

It was noticeable that there were no cameras showing the deliberation of the VR and his assistant last night.

What have the RFL/Sky got to hide? The BBC approach of broadcasting the VR's comments much more informative anyway.

I could not agree more about the BBC system. This whole touch-screen video thing seemed to be mostly a Sky gimmick than an innovation. I think having a proper trained video technician supply the replays, under verbal guidance of the video ref, is much better than watching two blokes with a huge 'Ipad' sort it out for themselves. I would switch the BBC system for all Sky games and the only bit I would keep is the video ref announcement and explanation to the crowd in the ground.

Can the lip reading expert go to the big screen during games?
