| The thing is about Hetherington, is the one thing above anything he does is put the game first. There have been many occasions where he has put the game as a whole before the Rhinos interests.
I said a few weeks back, personally I think Leeds need a change from his role, but would love to see him running the RFL. He has always being innocative, thinks outside the box, plans for growth, and knows the game inside out. He's forgoten more than people like Pearson and Lenighan will ever know.
If Hetherington is speaking with his Rugby hat on, and telling us these six idiots are causing a problem for the game, then I doubt he is wrong. However, I would say the RFL needs to change.

| He's right in that if these clubs have issues, walking out of the meeting is not the way to discuss or solve them. It's pathetic.
The situation and potential courses of action have been discussed for months. Yet suddenly there's something so badly wrong that they can't possibly continue or even participate. If they had a problem they've had months and several meetings to air those problems.
It's a "small-town", unprofessional way of doing things. So naturally is embraced by aspects of rugby league.

Thanks, I read the bbc article too. Seems litre a few people with ego ruining it for everyone. Reasoning out styles me as childish. At least discuss your issues and try to reach some sort of compromise

Why what's that got to do with today's events? It's completely different.
He's not praising the RFL in today's quote merely stating he thinks walking out of meetings and having apparent selfish motives at heart is very bad for the sport.
In the Crusaders one he's actually making his feelings known (not walking away) about the poor handling of the situation. Something he didn't have to do because it didn't effect his club, but did the game.
He had some choice words to say about the running of the game in the Crusaders article, today doesn't mean his view or opinions have changed.....just means he's not going to sulk like a child who hasn't got the present they wanted for their birthday.

| I agree to a point it could and should have been sorted out a long time ago.
But the problem is the RFL and its inability to market Super League correctly. Super League has no sponsor and the last deal was worth nothing. Whilst the 6 clubs are been vilified at least they want better marketing for the game. Something that the current RFL can not do.

| This is classic, so what we have here are fans of clubs, just like politics, who will take the view point of the team they support, with the vast majority not knowing or really caring about the facts. Wigan fans already on the hunt. Mr Eve lights blue touch paper and sits back laughing.

I am pretty damn confident that the other 8 clubs want better marketing for the game, but walking out like spoilt brats is not the answer. Who's fault is it that the last title sponsor's deal had no monetary value, that will be the superleague clubs as a whole who gave it a big thumbs up.

9 Clubs out of 14 voted in favor of the Stobart deal. And it was axed inside a year.
Think RFL should start listening to the minority.

The 9 clubs included Wigan, Warrington and the Catalans, which just so happen to be 3 of 6 spoilt brats.

Do you think that the reason that the 3 have changed their tune was the deal. Reading about the deal as i can guess you have been doing tonight. It was supposedly worth 1million to 2.5 million a year in marketing . But in the end it was worthless.
Begs the question do you want £10 in monopoly money or £5 in real.

Who is confident in 6 'businessmen' who walk out of meetings to lead the charge into change?

Thing is lenaghan is the only one who has actually change the whole business around and made it a worthwhile business, the rest are not worth a toss.I may be a bit wrong on warrington.

How has Lenaghan actually "changed the whole business?".
He's kicked up a fuss and made a bit of noise, that's happened before it'll happen again, but nothing "business changing" as of yet.

You use the word "current" in a way that suggests you think 'change' is needed though.
So change is needed In your opinion.
