When almost every move of every play is going through Chase then sooner or later his runners are going to pick a good line and sooner or later he's going to pick a good pass.
That isn't meant as a criticism of Chase, he has to be able to pick and the ability to execute the pass, but if the support runners run daft lines or don't support at all then he, like any halfback, is far less dangerous. The lack of or poor quality of support runners is often something we suffer from in my opinion.

Got to agree. It's quite embarrassing the posts from Leeds fans on Chase. He is a class above, and way above many who have been successes in Super League. A magical player.

Whatever anybody thinks about chase, for about fifteen to twenty minutes he gave a master class in half back play,sending players through gaps and making breaks on his own.
At the moment in super league there is a shortage of chase type players. Or pehraps modern day coaches don't like flair players, who may now and then balls up.

Would that be the same Rangi Chase that was an anonymous show pony against the Champions the other week ?

How can you compare Mcguire with Chase they have completely different styles Danny is a support player who links up with a good hooker or fellow halfback Chase is the magician with a better kicking game,organisation of a team,flair,better defender,and the ability to single handedly change a game.As good as mcguire has been you need to be honest with your selves Chase is massively better than Mcguire has ever been.

Chase is a very very good player but yesterday like every year since he's been here also showed his inconsistency IF we were to sign ANY player from CAS it'd be Daryl Clark for me.

Clark is a very dangerous player, anyway Chase would never fit in at Leeds. At Cas he has a free role and wouldn't have that at Leeds. Similar to when he plays for England - he looks stifled.
