Leeds started the season on zero points, played the same opposition as everyone else and applied themselves to the same format as everyone else.

To be fair it wasn't just wigan fans who tought they would become fixtures at old trafford. I've been suprised (and delighted) by their failure in the playoffs since 2010.

To beat a good Wakefield side, then having to win away at Catalans and then away to Wigan to get to The Grand Final and in turn beat a good Warrington side that done us in the Challenge Cup Final is nothing more than amazing. Special set of players is an understatement. Legends more like

You play to the rules as they stand and the Champions are determined by the winner of the Grand Final. That's been the case for the last 15 years and is a system that has prevailed for the vast majority of RL's 117 year history.

Yes. And coupled with MoM performances at Wigan and in the final. What a guy.

Sinfield has kicked 21 from 21 during the four play-off games - 7, 5, 4, 5 (he started the Play-Offs on a run of zero having missed the final two conversions at Huddersfield after the Ablett and Peacock tries.)

Sinfield ended the season on 168 from 207 (81%) which is not too shabby for Leeds' second best kicker (in success percentage terms) in 2012

It's amazing to watch his technique (Sky's 3D coverage yesterday highlighted it particularly well I thought), staring at the point of contact and only lifting his head as the ball is crossing the bar.

Funny thing is last year the Worriers supports claimed the playoff system was flawed because we won without beating both the 1st and 2nd place teams. This year we did that too





Just because I like seeing it written down but lets remember that in the last 2 years we've played and beaten the following teams without any second chances:

Hull, Huddersfield, Warrington (twice), St Helens, Wakey, Catalans & Wigan

Seriously what more can we do to satisfy the knockers - how about leeds vs SL Dream team for the Grand Final next year
