| Dispite a game that most experts and fans think is too close to call, the bookies have Warrington odds on.
Slightly frustrating that this great Leeds side and the reigning champs are constantly written off. But great motivation for the team

| I would think the team probably prefer it that way, same as last week. Takes all the pressure off us and heaps it on the wire. Like you say gives them more motivation, all we need now are some negative comments from team sky/shaun wane and we're sorted.
On the flip side John Wells on sky this aft tipped us to win.
I am praying for rain
Suits our style more than the globetrotters

| 50/1 for Lunt to be Man of Match.
If he starts and gets into it that could be a decent longshot.

Suppose Sinfield can have a little moan about it and how everyone should never write off Leeds although I think the odds were nearly the same for the CC Final, doubt the bookies effect the prep for a Final.

| Think Saints were odds on everytime we played them in the Grand Final. I remember 2008 when they'd been on like a 25 match unbeaten run and everyone thought they just had to turn up and we still beat them!

2008 was sweet. You could just sense the confidence and cockyness oozing from the saints fans before the game.(rightly so they did have a top year.) this was their game, they wouldnt be caught cold ala 2007 and we were just guests at their party.
I will never forget the feeling leaving the stadium after the win, singing and dancing in the torrent of rain and the shell shocked Saints fans.
Being the underdog and winning is good, more of the same please

| Back in June when the Rhino's were 9th in the SL table me and a pal placed a £40 bet at 12/1 that we would win the GF
I'm not sure if we were being ballsy or stupid at the time

We weren't even guests last year, it was more like we were uninvited gate crashers that only turned up to spoil the party.

Nah we actually looked at the next 4/5 matches and both agreed that if we won those then we would move up to about 4th or 5th in the league and that the odds we got wouldn't be available again, although we were 8/1 only a couple of weeks back which surprised us
Win or lose on Saturday the bet was worth the while if only for us both dreaming each week about what we'd do with the winnings
If the Rhino's win then my next 2 season tickets are for free near enough, and if we lose then it's like dropping 10 bottles of Budweiser down my shirt on Saturday and i've seen fans throwing more beer about in stadiums than that in the past

| Warrington are deserved favourites. Doesn't mean we have no chance, but you can't assume Warrington will freeze or play ultra-conservative through nerves. I'd hope to hell the players and coaches are assuming they'll be playing a Wembley-standard Warrington, and plan to have to somehow beat them at that level.

| That's because everybody knows we are the big game kings when it comes to finals, and Leeds have history freezing in the headlights when they take us on in a major final.
Also it gives Sinfield/Brian McDermott licence to give their speech about "everybody wrote us off, it was only them lads in the dressing room that had belief" if you win.

How does it feel Sally? Getting ready for your first Grand Final. Slightly nervous, a little giddy? Prone to spontaneous outbursts of laughter?
I know it's fourteen years ago and I was only in my early twenties, had to travel to the game from University in Glasgow I did. But what a journey. What a day.
Enjoy it.

It feels a bit surreal. For most of my Warrington supporting life I never expected that we would win a major trophy, in the Cullen era even after Simon Moran had taken over the club and put money in, got big names like Gleeson, Johns, Morley etc it always felt like we were chasing the unreachable dream a bit like Newcastle United in the 1990s under Keegan.
The 2009 Challenge Cup Final was the big one for me, I thought that could potentially be our only chance to win a trophy, I was really nervous before that, didn't particularly enjoy the occasion or appreciate the build up, once we went ahead early on I sat there counting down the clock waiting for the hooter. Once we had won that then for me it took the pressure off, a lifetime ambition had been realised to see Wire win a major trophy even if we never won again.
I was a lot more relaxed in the 2010 and 2012 Challenge Cup finals, I felt like there was nothing to lose as I'd already seen a trophy and if we lost to Leeds I could take it whereas I would have felt really shattered if we had lost to Hudds in 2009. I feel the same about this GF. Looking forwards to a new experience but I'm not afraid of losing, if we lose I can accept it and say fair play to Leeds, we are seeing a historic group of players that will be talked about for a long time.

Well either way it goes tomorrow, one of us pair shall be happy, one less so. But I like that post, because it kind of ties in with my feelings.
It's well known on here I don't care for the regular rounds because I don't think it represents value for money. But come the games that matter I am still a little kid again.

As has been said on another thread, the CC is one thing but the GF is totally different. It's so much more than the CC, more intense, more passionate. You can feel it.
I wont wish you luck but enjoy your day all the same.

| Think Leeds experience in winning this game 5 times already will be the major factor. Having Mcguire back is a massive boost too he was missed in the CC final!
