It was a bad tackle and there's no way he should have been swinging in with his arm like that, but I don't think there was malicious intent, and I'm hoping like hell the disciplinary panel show some leniency as we're going to need him next week! Mind you, McGuire's tackle fades into insignificance compared with the double whammy of leading with the elbow and head high tackle within the space of a minute from Fakir!

MM got a red and 3 matches for his high shocker, so that's effectively 4 matches for his high shot.

DM's tackle may not have been that bad, however he did not get a red. So 2 matches would not be out of form with the MM hit. Not sure of his record so if he can plead early he may just get 1.

McGuire wasn't even looking at the man when he tackled him. It was reckless and a penalty and nothing more. Of course with Eddie and Stevo everything has to be "a shocker" or "unbelievable" or the most masssive drama ever seen.

Thought the match in general was very poorly refereed both ways, with far too many simple errors made from all the officials including the video ref.

Graham Beecroft did the commentary for Leeds v Wakefield last week. He was much better.

The two muppets from the Sky commentary team made their usual massive issue out of something it wasn't. Yes Danny caught him with his arm but he was going down from the previous tackle and he wasn't looking at the player when he brought his arm round. It was unfortunate and he'll most likely get a ban but I don't believe there was intent in the tackle and as for a swinging arm most tackles are made by bringing the arm round otherwise your arm may as well be a turnstile
