The U20's won 46-8 below the official write up.
www.therhinos.co.uk/rugby/19894.php
From my own POV those who are pleading for a new centre or outside back just watch the likes of Keinhorst and Chisolm.
Both imo have ALL the potential they need to step up and both are getting better of course my own view is that both should've had a run out by now but i'd hope at the very least they step up into the championship next season as both are clearly above U20 level.
I would also suggest their potential played a part in Smithys departure because both look to be next up in their positions.
As for young Sunleys solo try anyone remember Paul Sterlings effort at HQ during the WCC league game??
He actually did it twice but just got clipped the 1st time.
The young front rowers stood up well against Scruton and Joseph and the experience of Hauraki( Cas bound apparently) and Clarkson helped in the BR .
A skillfull and determined effort from our lads and youngsters called up did themselves proud.

| Sunley's try was absoluteley outstanding
The way he took that kick and then just set off on his one man mission of rounding anyone in a Bulls shirt that dared to get in his path
If Sam or Billy Slater had scored that self same try then the world of RL would be in raptures about it
I just hope that Josh isn't going to be that wrong player breaking through at the wrong club and at the wrong time too due to having equally talented players infront of him in the packing order,as he has always looked like an outstanding talent to me and one who was destined for first team at the Rhinos

| Really pleased for Josh getting his first in the 20s, got many DVDs of him doing that as a junior week after week. It was obvious he would 'make it' form being 11 years old. I hope too that Luke gets his opportunity with the players in the hooking roles.

| Got to say Seth ,Luke has looked very comfortable at this level the couple of times i've seen him so i wouldn't rule him out of a future 1st team shot just yet.
Especially as it seems Maccas face doesn't fit and Hoody is still also learning on dual reg i'm sure and hope the club will give him time to grow and develop.
As for Josh he's destined for 1st team RL in the future no doubts in my mind thats also part of why im not sure we need to recruit backs because i rate Jimmy Watson and of course Keinhorst ,Chisolm and i know Minns is rated highly within the club.
Accepted most are still very young and raw but i wouldn't rule ANY of them out of SL appearances in the future should they continue their development and potential.

| Did I read that right that Bradford haven't won a single game at that level all season?
There are some talented outside backs in the junior grades, arriving at an unfortunate time for them personally. The 1, 2, 3 and 5 shirts seem to already have long term solutions in place, so they may have to bide their time.
Whether they will be patient enough to do so remains to be seen.

Sounds like an exciting future Hope we can hold onto these kids.
Could Keinhorst and Chisholm be the 2013 left wing partnership ? (Hall into second row, fulfilling Gotcha's wish).
Can Sunley maybe play alongside Olds as a future half back pairing (2014) ?? (Ward at LF of course)

Josh never had the strongest passing game, ideal running full back and very strong defensively.

Hardaker seems to have the FB position sewn up for the forseeable future and most, if not all, accept centre is not [ihis[/i position.
Either way it does appear this kid Sunley is an exciting prospect ....hope he fulfills his potential and claims that Leeds first team FB spot, with maybe Hardaker hopefully developed into the SO role ??
Where is Luke Briscoe's natural position ?

| Briscoe is a bit jack of all trades, IIRC he's played full back, centre, stand off and loose forward in the 20s this year.
Plenty of time for him to settle down and find where suits his skill set best.
How old is Josh now Seth, does he have another year left at 18s? Otherwise he could hit a bit of a logjam behind Jimmy Watson.

| He's 19 later this year. Looking at who's ahead in his favoured position it's something I've thought too. I know I may have a bit of bias being his coach for so many years, but he was always exceptional and if he does continue to progress it's difficult not to find a place in the side for a player with his talent.

Can't see Hardaker in a pivot position. he's hasn't got the passing game for it.

| His passing wasn`t too bad when he sent his centre in for a try on Friday.
Then again he was passing to his right.

Complete myth that is, made up by people who felt Hall was not getting the right ball when he was at centre.
His passing game certainly hasn't been a problem since moving to fullback, looking at the number of try assists he is having each week since that move.
I see Powell is still stating that he believes Hardaker will be the England stand off one day.

| agreed gotcha, what zak doesnt have atm to be a top centre is the ability to draw defenders in, and a slip the pass out to his winger, like what watkins did for bishops first try against wigan. since moving to FB he has set up quite a few tries including two nice tries for watkins on friday.
Zak has the potenial to be a very good centre but would need time to develop his game there, he has the ability now to be a very good winger, full back and also even stand off. altho he started on the wing and was pretty good there, i think his talents would be wasted there if im honest

| I too felt some critics have been a bit unfair with regard to Hardaker's passing abilities. He played very well at centre last season and in the first part of this year and I didn't see too many occassions where he should have passed and didn't. He used Hall as a foil to very good effect and scored some important well taken tries coupled with a strong defence.
We should take into account that fact that the team as a whole were not playing well for much of this season and the backs were getting the ball on the back foot so not the best time to make long term judgements on a young player. Since he became one of the last in the side to suffer a dip in form plus his recent good showing at FB meant some people have written him off as a centre.
I think he is a quality young rugby player who is still learning his trade with plenty of improvement to come. He possibly could be a better RC than a left side one and I too think he may end up as a SO. But meanwhile he looks very comfortable at FB and a natural replacement for Webb.

| Hardaker is more than capable of becoming a top SO but for the moment his talents lie best at full back.

| Hardaker was proclaimed "one of the best young English centres" earlier this year. However, he was clearly having some real struggles with the position, not that I don't think he could have overcome them.
Since he went to full back he's been a revelation. I'm happy for him to remain there whilst his form continues. I'd rather not risk him becoming another Lee Smith whose versatility probably hurt him.

Although i watched the U20's game live.
I have just seen the online highlights on the club website
www.therhinos.co.uk/news/19941.php
and Josh's try looks as good as any individual tries i have ever seen
I reiterate my point posted earlier that if Sam or Billy Slater had scored that try then the RL world would have been in raptures
This kid is very talented without a doubt
