This is my first visit to Wembley Stadium

Is there any restrictions in food and drinks you can take into the stadium in a bag to your seat

Any information would be useful as i dont want to pay Wembley prices

Yep. You can't take your own food or drink.

I've always taken a rucksack with me, which is checked on entry
Take pop cartons rather than bottles. Even plastic ones had to be poured into a plastic glass
Flask of hot water was OK, as was the food I've taken

Plenty of overpriced food & drink outside & inside.

How over-priced do things have to be before you'll carry all of your food and drink for the day around with you, all day, in a backpack ?

shouldn't that be that you're not allowed to take your own food and drink in, but it may be possible

Around £7 for a slice of pizza and a soft drink, more for burgers, or fish n chips

If the prices of all of those items are putting you off eating/drinking them then that is a good thing, are there any salad bars inside Wembley or are all sports fans assumed to be lards ?

In a moment of weakness at the Conference play-off final, I bought a Wembley hot-dog. It tasted of fish. Avoid.

I have always taken food in -no problem at all.Sometimes bottle tops are taken off,but it is easy enough to hide bottles in pockets etc

The prices in the stadium are ridiculously over inflated so my tip is to get really drunk BEFORE you go in, that way avoiding expensive and y tasting beer.

To be fair the Burger I had at half time in 2009 was rait nice, but then again I had prescribed to the Fat Boy way of thinking prior to entering the ground. Read into that what you will.

if you go in via wembley high street there are plenty of places to pick up food and drink, we usually take carton drinks picked up from the pound shop and family packs of crisps to keep the kids fed
the general rule is no cans or bottles but if you take a bottle in they will just pour it into a plastic cup for you to take up to your seat

It's harder to disguise the fact that you've kept a salad in a cupboard for 6 weeks since the last match, so they tend not to bother with them.

I recommend not buying any food or drink in the ground. I bought a pint last time, but I wasn't spending much other money, and I only had one (had the car back at Leamington station) so I didn't lose much sleep over it. If you want multiple pints or any food, you might be in trouble unless you're Andrew Carnegie. Surely you can manage not to eat for 2 and a half hours unless you have a medical condition.

The food vans outside the ground near the station wanted about £8 for a burger as well.... A trip into Wembley itself is recommended. Or take a pack-up to eat on the way down on the train.

You have to be seriously deluded or an inch from death from starvation to pay £8 for a burger from a burger van.

Am I the only one who often doesn't eat anything from 7am to 6pm ?

both of the times i have been. Luckily we got a table in the Bobby Moore suite through some connections and we had a three course meal and all you could drink for free. So it's been cheap for me lol

Seats were right by where the players walk to collect trophy, would have been great if we'd actually won it
