Has anyone been down to watch the nines the last couple of years? Just watched the highlights and it looks a decent product. Good opportunity for some of the younger players but can only imagine it is seen as a demotion by the likes of Hauraki.

Very enjoyable and a great way for the youngsters to learn their trade and be more creative.
All the clubs involved have promising younger players and the speed of the game is very entertaining.
Ourselves have had a good mix of u20 and u18's playing and whilst i accept 1st team players need be kept sharp i don't agree they should be in this comp or at the very least no more than 1 a game.

Leeds have certainly thrown some experience at the competition this year - Smith, Jones-Bishop, Clarkson, Hauraki, Moore and McShane have all featured. Given the hiatus in the Under 20s it gives these players chance to blow away the cobwebs. Singleton and Keinhorst have looked very good so far, and the lad Wilson from Carnegie looks to have some real potential.

Top of the league finish for wakey in 9s. The real challenge tonight was going to be Leeds. Shame I was working a's there seems to be alot of talent and entertaining play in these games.
