At the Etihad yesterday someone thought smoking was perfectly acceptable. A couple of minutes into his cig a woman three or four rows behind him launched her beer at him. All very amusing, until the smoker.....and several men around him.......made their minds up that the person who threw the beer was my mate sat next to me (which was strange because he still had his beer in his hand when they were effing and jeffing at him)

Three things spring to mind.

Don't smoke in the stadium, cos no matter how big you are someone will take action to stop it in one way or another.

If you do launch your beer and then see someone else gets wrongly blamed, don't just sit there with your head down and watch an innocent party take the flak.

....and lastly, shouting false accusations at someone and then not accepting the fact that you could be wrong when they are adamant they haven't done anything, is likely to end up spoiling someone's day. I was driving yesterday and so didn't touch a drop, but if I too had been drinking it could have resulted in a whole different ending.........so think on!

Why Tad, are you a smoker/beer thrower/thrown beer recipient/false accuser/falsely accused......or all of the above?......

drunken wigan woman and her brother,both about 40, absolutely hammered, sat behind us. they caused trouble, dropped beer on me and people kept complaining to stewards. eventually i snapped and told them to f off and leave us alone. i was sober, i drove by the way.
she threw a bit of her pint over me so i knocked the rest out of her hand and soaked her through. her brother tried to give me a right hander but he got sat on his backside. stewards dragged us out.
the stewards told me they had watched them cause trouble all day. i then asked why they hadn't been dealt with and that they had allowed this to happen.
despite her husband telling security it was her fault, and despite cctv backing me up i was thrown out and they were allowed to stay in.
this is the reason i don't go to internationals and i don't like finals.
people drink all day, and i include leeds fans in this, and it's not worth the hassle. in future i'll watch on sky at home.

i emailed the RFL about beer being banned from the stands. i await there reply

there is really no need for this,everyone wants to have a good day and enjoy themselves
there were a couple incidents of cups being chucked from the higher tier to the lower tier,a guy got half a pint over himself when someone from upper tier launched a cup,I also got hit by a cup but luckily it was empty!
It only takes a couple of people to spoil a whole day!

Sadly too many s see RL games as an excuse to get sed and make dicks of themselves
I really enjoyed yesterday, and so did my lad, but did see far too many who'd drank too much

Gutted I missed Tad smacking a Wigan muppet though

I only ever throw urine, far cheaper and cuts down on toilet breaks so more drinking can be done.


Seriously, some people are just idiots, I like a drink when I go to games but would never dream of spoiling someone else's experience in any way, it's not the drinks fault or the rfl's or a rugby problem, some people are just idiots.

Was definitely the drink on Saturday night. Hull Derby, 7pm kick off. Bad idea.

I was sat next to a group of 10-12 year olds who played for the Bulldogs (Wetherby ?) and their parents. They were unfortunate enough to be sat next to the main Bradford contingent. The scruffy Bradford fans looked like the cast of Rita,Sue and Bob too. The problem was they also behaved like them. The young rugby team were supporting Leeds and had to put up with 80 minutes of two fingered salutes, "We hate Rhinos", "We all hate Leeds scum" and "Ronnie is a f##k#' paedophile". One young Bradford fan (all of ten years old) spent most of the game sticking two fingers up at the Leeds fans without any admonishmet from his parents. A Bradford "woman", with two days stubble, also decided it was good to gesticulate and swear at the kids who just waved their oversized foam hands back at her which made her go even crazier. They're funny folk from Bradford at the best of times, a few sherberts takes them to the level of the chavvy Hull fans. I think a good idea for the massive hole in the centre of Bradford would be to bulldoze the entire city of Bradford and its' inhabitants into it and just concrete it over. Job done.

In songs sung at the weekend, Leeds were mentioned in more songs than any other club. And I include Saturday in that as well.

It's nothing more than jealousy
