| Better performance today got much stronger as the game went on. And good defence, to keep them out for nearly 60 mins. Hopefully can start to kick on with a home win against Wigan

Agree good defence...but how many times did Leeds put themselves under self inflicted pressure due to stupid penalties or crazy offload attempts in their own half ?
Still don't know how to build pressure.
Wigan will punish us far far more than Bradford could.

| Burrow, Moore and Hauraki all made good impact from the bench. Soft early tries but much better generally especially 2nd half and considering the Alibert random decision generator, but plenty to work on as we can't afford to allow Wigan even half that much possession in our 25.

Again I agree with regards to the bench.....a much better mix/selection. McDermott at least got that right this time....AND he actually used them wisely

I agree, i think we must be the most penalised side in the league when it comes to being penalised whilst in possession

| Not stronger....Bradford dominated for most of the game. Your defence was awesome, both teams made stupid errors and Bradford fell unlucky to 3 more injuries during the game.....Wigan next week, good luck!

To be fair i thought it was a good effort from an ailing crisis club at deaths door. You did good.

| The injuries to Kopchak, Walker and Diskin meant that Bradford were bound to tire in the last quarter of the game. This gave Leeds the added impetus they needed to win the game.
We gave away cheap possession with daft penalties and even dafter off loads. Our defence was good but it needed to be. If we give away the ball so easily Wigan will destroy us.

| I thought we were average in every area. Our defense was OK in patches but some of the tries conceded were very soft. The kicking game was poor and our last tackle plays were poor and we never really built any pressure.
Yet again we failed to control the ruck and let Bradford play the ball far too quickley especially in the first half. Our technique in the tackle and at the ruck is very poor and has been for a few seasons. Wigan are very good in this area and thats why I think we could be in for a long night next Friday.
Any news on Watkins? It didn't look good. I hope he isn't going to be another Nigel Wright.

McDermott agrees with you if you see his interview on the official site - fairly scathing of the performance. He's right - and no doubt the players are fully aware that just because we won there is no excess satisfaction to be taken from today's performance. The win is important for sure, but there is so much to still improve upon.

| Shocking display in all facets apart from Goal line defence. Luckily we were only playing the Bulls.
As has been said, a better bench this week. Burrow a game changer again, fantastic support from McGuire and a captain's knock from Kev. Ryan Hall still awaits a pass from hardaker but tbf Hardaker didn't see much ball in space.
Otherwise, 2 points, back in the 8 and much work to be done by our lads and the RFL disciplinary to give us a shout Friday. Wouldn't write us off mind.

| Thought it was a poor game in all. Neither backline got much decent ball and thought there were some strange decisions from Alibert for both sides.
Bit of a typical Leeds performance when we're scrapping to get the 2 points.

| I'd like to see more offensive defence. We tend to stand off and let the attack come ten yards to us rather then getting on the front foot and stifiling the attack around the ruck or out wide. You cant let teams like wigan that type of room to play. In attack theres too much down the middle at the moment, it looks great if rob breaks the line aeound the ruck and picks up support but Id much rather see us play with some width. We have arguably the best threequarter line in the league but they can be starved of possession some times.

| To me, it was 2 average teams playing fairly poorly. The Elliot Kear try annoyed the hell out of me. We wont get within 24 of Wigan next week IMO. They will expose our weak defence with the amount of hole runners they have.

| After Monday's interchange shambles i thought today showed what a difference a bench can make. Thought Moore played well especially the offload that led to McGuire's first of the 2nd half, also Hauraki went ok, messed up an offload at the start of the 2nd half but still performed better than Clarkson has at any point this year. Bailey strong again and Burrow showing that he is best when coming off the bench.
Would of liked to of seen Moore get some more game, was he or Bailey injured towards the end because with 10 mins to go we brought on JJB for Leuluai and finished with a pack consisting of Peacock, JJB, Delaney and Hauraki, i'm guessing it was JJB who was the 2nd prop?

| 2nd half defence was good imo and Mags looked at his try sniffing best but we need to improve ten fold imo if we are to have any impact in the play offs and that improvement needs to start next week.
I will also add what does it take for it to sink into our team about composure and discipline??

| On the bright side, a Win next week and we are "in theory" just 4 points off the top. Its so tight, a run of wins/losses here and there will change the top 8/9 around massively and although Wigan at this moment in time do look unstoppable, we all know that wont last the whole season and they will hit a poor patch at some point.

Others who watch more closely might correct me but Batley Rhino told me McDermott used all but 1 of his substitutions with 20 mins to go.
If so, one extreme to another with McDermott.

| BM has made his choice of sticking with players. I can't see him making many changes for Wigan/Warrington, even if now for two games running he's publicly said we've played poorly. TBH unless we turn things right around (not impossible) in those two games, a couple of bad defeats could be better in the long-term if it gives him the impetus to shock some players out of their comfort zone.

Thank god he used them at least, in that heat it would of been a disgrace not to.
