If I was GH i'd be asking BMD to pay Shaun Lunts wages this week.

....One of the best players over the last 4/5 weeks............so let's keep him on the bench all night???!!!

Now I'm home I'll elaborate slightly on my frustrations.

A) He should be starting - Burrow can change a game from the bench, Lunt provides a much more solid base to start the game.

B) We were crying out for some organisation in the second half. Someone to run from dummy half and provide some quick balls to our forwards to help them get over the advantage line, yet he sat on the bench.

C) Even with 10 minutes left some fresh legs might have helped both in attack and defence, yet still he sat.

Whether he got lucky or not, Brian Mac found a formula which worked last year in the play offs. We now have the pieces to play that way again. Why not try it?

On a positive note I thought our OAP prop forward duo were immense tonight, especially Peacock.

yeh andy cant fault either kylie and jp, not using lunt is a joke, and the third time this season weve played a game with only using three of our subs!

It doesn't make sense - in one scrum we had Delaney hooking, Sinfield scrum half and Burrow loose forward

We barely used 3, there was only really Bailey that got any game time. I am really at a lost to what he was thinking tonight. The forwards looked very tired in the second half, then Saints just rolled us over.

Add the fact that we were the only club not to rotate over the Easter weekend and it's little wonder we fade in the second half.

I too am very confused.

To be fair, that makes complete sense. Everyone does it and it's a case of getting your players away from the scrum and into the positions you want them.

Totally, i dont mind getting beat, and saints deserved the win and i wouldnt say we were terrible tonight but its very frustrating when mcdermott is constantly baffling us with his rotation or lack of!

If McDermott wants somebody to sit on the bench/exercise bike for 80 minutes, I'll do it for free.

Ablett cost Leeds the game tonight with a couple of stupid offloads.

I demand mcdermott presents a full dossier of his tactical game plan from tonight so it can reviewed and critiqued by the experts on here,

And here we all were thinking it was something personal about McShane in particular.

I don't think he helped, although at some point Watkins needs to develop better hands in traffic, however we were well under the kosh before that. Saints battered us for the last half hour.

He certainly didnt help with the one he threw straight to the saints player not long after we went 18-12 up and i think it ended with makinson going over in the corner

I'm not really one for knocking the coach but McDermott's use of subs is bewildering

I'm not disagreeing, other than that I don't think it changed the course of the game. Regardless of the score Saints were well on top and never relinquished that dominance for the rest of the game.

Leeds were in front and he pushed the ball on a couple of occasions when he should have stuck. It gave Saints field position from which they scored.

That's from a neutral fans pov btw, I was unsure which of the two I wanted to lose tonight.

I agree about the Ablett off loads, but he wasn't alone in playing some staggeringly dumb rugby tonight. There was plenty to choose from.

Also, if a line of defence follows the kick, they should make sure they actually act as a line of defence.

Oh, and what the hell was the point of starting with Rob, if Lunt wasn't going to get on the field?

We won from fifth last year. Now, we were the first to do so, indicating it's near impossible to do. Why do we seem intent on trying to repeat this year?
