Not so new an idea Damo! (Good one though!) We took my sister in law from Ecuador to her first match a few years ago and despite trying to give her an idea of what to expect she asked where were the horses? She is a real Latino firecracker and just loved the game once she accepted it was not played like polo! She still asks for an update on the 'Pocket Rocket' when we talk on the phone during the season.

I actually like the idea of Rugby League on Ice. In my mind it would be like the 1970s' film Rollerball, but more manly and with less motorcycle crashes.

Actually, maybe if we substitute the motorcycles in Rollerball with horses, and the roller rink with an ice rink we would have an incredibly fantastic spectacle. 'Rugby League on horsback, on Ice'. Send feedback to 'RFL Development, Portacabin 2, Odsal.'

Will the players be in saddles or going Bareback?

Bareback would be too hard. Saddles connect man and horse like rugby boots connect man and grass. I wonder what rugby league would be like if players played it in barefoot. This is getting really bizarre now!
