Indeed. Gonna reserve judgement until I see it up close but first impressions were not good. Hope this years training range is better than last years guff too.

on the video it looks almost as dark as the 2007 away shirt but it looks more like a true leeds shirt

On the blurb on the email it says same

“We are very pleased with the new look for our home kit. It includes traditional elements with the amber hoops but we have introduced a darker shade of blue to the main body. The blue is a similar shade to our alternative kit in 2007, which we wore in our first Grand Final win over St Helens, and was a very popular shirt with supporters.”

Amongst the first principles of a coherent visual identity should be some consistency in the colour scheme.

Are we blue or are we navy?

Are we amber, gold or yellow?

We know what they should be, and IMO the new design of the kit is generally fine; but is it that hard for the home kit to stick to what are actually supposed to be the club's home colours?

Agree with most of that. Much of a muchness but I'll still end up getting one.

Personally if I were the CEO of the company I wouldn't bother getting a designer to come up with a different layout every year, I'd just release last years with a different sponsors badge on and stick a £42.50 label on it, in fact, forget the sponsors badge, just make the front of the shirt the price tag so have "£42.50" emblazoned right across the amber stripes, lets everyone know how much the product is, lets everyone know how loyal you are for paying that price and you can change it every year - sorted.

The blue is too dark really. It's nothing like traditional home shirt colour.

I don't understand the meh much of a muchness quotes, smart shirt is that. Be interested what all the Fashionistas on here would like to see? Perhaps the star design of early super league, very fetching, or the red and White one which rather reminded me of an old pyjama top i had.

looks ok in principle for you guys it just looks like your marketing director etc need to come up with a firm blue that they use to make a recognisable brand as other clubs you know the colours eg wigan cherry and white, hull black and white, warrington primrose and blue, leeds amber and ? (blue, navy, dark blue, near enough black blue) but i like it simple and looks smart

Is it me or do our players look less bulky/broader than those teams who wear a lighter colour or white shirt?
Maybe as we nicked the marching on together song from LUFC we should also play in all white too

white as a colour makes you look bigger dark colours give the perseption of smaller

I like the new shirt and will be placing an order today for it.
