Any particular reason why you've decided to take Hardaker away from the right centre, where he's been steadily learning his trade in the Under 20s and first team, and move him to the left?

Similarly, any reason why you've put Watkins - who predominantly played on the left as a junior and was identified as the long term replacement for Senior in that role - on the right?

Why not assign the squad numbers in alphabetical order (except Sinfield @ no. 1) similar to how cricket teams often do

Andy. Between Watkins and the Coaching staff, they have decided he will be a right centre. He has a left hand fend and a good flick with his right hand, seems to make sense to me, and Callum played very well there most of the season. Equally, Hardaker looks better on the left to me.

So why start a thread about it?

Point 1. I've told you before its MUMOOWMer not Kirkette. when will you learn.

Secondly, I think giving the 4 shirt to Hardaker could add unnecessary pressure to the lad. Regardless of age & experience etc, some people will just see the number 4 and expect him to be the finished article. That number 4 shirt represents very big shoes to fill. It shouldn't make any difference to the player, but why risk it.

FWIW I think Hardaker has the centre berth for next season and its up to someone else to take it off him
