Massive respect for the guy to go to Oz and really do it. I always thought he isn't just physically strong but he has a great brain and strong mental approach to the game. Also highlights what a huge loss he has been for us over the last few seasons. You just can't find players like him that often in the British game.

Hopefully he can translate his club form onto the international stage. Something I don't think he's managed to do so far.

Must be a freak as keith always tells us how good the nrl is.

I miss Ellis. His tackling technique was the perfect of example of 'raw boned'. He didn't try for a big run up and spectacular big hit, he just tackled 'em bloody hard.

Back in the days of touchline Gareth Carvell (I think it was) referred to Ellis (and a then pre knee injury JP) as just that, FREAKS

Cameron Smith would look ordinary playing in the current England team.

We had "words" mind you saying that he admit he got some calls wrong when we played St's at HQ and agreed with me that if play is topped and a wrong call made then if available the VR should be allowed to have a say to correct the call.

I think that admitting he got some calls wrong took the wind out of a lot of people's sales, everyone seemed quite revved up for that one, and he came across pretty well and held his hands up to some things and came across as a decent bloke
