IMO, if you can't be bothered then you don't deserve it.

The writing was on the wall today. You could see from the effort on the pitch and the body language of the Catalan players that Wigan were going to win. Warrington here we come and I think that Catalan made Wigan look good today. Good to see the stands nice and full today at Wigan.

Yeah got to agree..Catalans have been very much second best today....looks like Wire next week unless they fancy taking on a tired Wigan after a short turnaround from today to Friday night! ?

Catalans just looked knackered after about ten minutes.

To be fair, having a perfectly decent try wiped off (for no other reason than incompetent officials) does take the wind out of the sails a bit too. 12-6 at H/T instead of 18-0 may have made a significant difference.

That said - if we think we need to up our game next week to have any chance at Wire, the same applies for Wigan at Saints.

Catalans were awful.

Their 'try' was moot. This is the business end, seperates the men from the boys. If that incident did knock them off course it says more about them really and validates their exit from the play-offs.

Someone had clearly been in his ear about the whistleathon at Warrington the week before. The incident in the second half when he allowed a clear Wigan high tackle to go, seemingly on the basis that Catalans made about four yards with the ball after it, summed up his performance.

I'm probably going to be in a minority here, but I don't think he was poor at Warrington.

The home team were constantly winning the collision and Huddersfield were being forced into infringements because they simply couldn't cope otherwise. If the referee keeps penalising you, then you either keep doing what you're doing and keep getting penalised, or you sort it out.

Where he did disappoint me in that game was that he didn't carry it on for the full 80 for some reason, and didn't get a Huddersfield player in the bin early enough to make his point.

Cats were very poor. They really had that look about them from the start that if they went a score behind they'd fall apart. A really poor way to end what has been a good season for them.
