| Wow @ Kirke. Tackling machine.
I overestimated his running contribution on the other thread because his drives were so invisible I assumed he must have made more of them that I, equally, hadn't noticed. Got the average metre-gain spot on though...

| Kirke starting does nothing to increase his offensive (offensive in more ways than one) work rate I see. A nice defensive stint mind.

| Consistently strong stats and good reviews for Kyle Amor over the last couple of months.
There really is something wrong if we're signing Richard Moore in preference to him.

And once again kirke is 0-0-0 on the negative stats.

Replacing JP with kirke was a shocking call by mc, like you said great defensive stint but no effort in trying to drive the ball up.
Take a bow delaney yet again great effort my player of the year, turns up week in week out with no less than 100% effort

| If the starting 6 forwards can match this tackle count in the final then we will be in with a chance if we can cut out the 15 missed tackles as well!

Good consistency as his attacking contribution is virtually 0-0-0 each week.
Maybe his tackle count is so high because he's a soft target? If I were an opposition forward I'd rather take it up at the cowardly lion than peacock, Kylie or TMFMISL

| Shocking call to rest Bailey AND peacock, leaving just Kylie & Kirke as the only recognised props. Kirke isn't really a prop, he certainly doesn't run like one, but good defensive performance.
G, I would guess that his defensive stats are so good (quite consistently) as that's his area of strength, which is why he probably gets picks despite his woefull attacking stats week on week

| One of those weeks where the forwards must have looked at the backs continually missing tackles and coughing up possession and wondered why they bothered

Mcdermott considers him a prop. He's played prop all year. Therefore, he's a prop.
His Defensive stats may be good but he rarely wins the collision (as withhis attack) and I wouldn't call him a great defender.

| kirke may be involved in tackles but when does anyone feel it? he's as much an aggressive prop as mcdonald and feather. people like barrie, jp, farrell and fleary are the sort of props needed instead of kirke.

| Kirke wasn't the only forward tackling soft against Quins. If you can bear it, watch the 'highlights' on SL - players making tackles but going backwards every time and the line not moving up at all. In fact our 'defence' put so little pressure on, its no wonder some of Quins handling looks very good. Line speed and making the opposition make quick decisions will be vital in the cup final. If we defend like we did against Quins we'll let in 50 easily.
