| Thought it was a close game with Cas probably the slightly better team.
Theres obviously an issue with Rangy Chase, but i thought he was the best player for me.
Over the last 3 seasons ive seen the Rhinos it obvious to me that Leeds seem devoid of ideas this season. There doesnt seem to be a Plan B.
McDermott needs to go?
At 6-2 down we had a couple of chances to put points on the board, but didnt choose to.Surely, the chance to take a kick at goal to put points on the board is the best option everytime?

a good team never goes for two in that situation, they go for the try - not sure leeds can be classed as a good team so in one way you are right
unfortunately our team seems unable to use the opportunities to score and/or put the pressure on the opposition - instead of looking for repeat sets on the opposition line our kicks often go dead or find defenders in space, or worse we force passes and make errors/get forced in to touch

| Popo execution caused in part by lack of a plan IMO. With so many 'playmakers' Leeds ought to be the best organised team in SL near the opposition line. Sadly it seems to have the opposite effect.

Surely not I would say as almost invariably in that situation you will still be behind and find yourself carrying the ball out of your danger zone for the next nervous minute.
Risk/Reward. If you don't take the risk you're unlikely to gain the reward.
There are times when taking the two makes reasonable sense: turning a 4 point lead into 6, a 6 point lead into 8, a 12 point lead into 14 but rarely when behind by more than 2.

| I'm obviously biased but I don't think Cas were the better team. Both defences had the measure of each other, but in attack Cas offered very little. The try Chase scored, and another occasion when Jones was held up short, were the only occasions Cas threatened the Leeds line. Leeds could (and should) have scored on at least 4 occasions, but for forward passes & poor decision making. At the end of the day, Cas wont get a better chance of reaching Wembley, and should have but for the poor drop goal attempt

| did we attack down our right? Not sure about the first half but from what I remember I don't think Watkins got any ball.
We seemed to be doing the same things over and over and cas were just mopping it up all day.

That's plan C for when plan B fails. Unfortunately no-one can remember plan B.

I'll disagree if that's OK. Especially in big games. We turned down, what, 8 kick-able points?
I say take them. We were making good metres. Put the points on the board, retain possession and have the confidence that the set following the kick off will finish somewhere between the 40 and half way at worst and will end with a good kick.
