Mcshane only played the first 15 mins then went off injured with knee cartlidge prob be out for couple weeks he wasnt going to play first team agen till next season any way thought hardaker might make the CC game leeds had quite a few new lads out yesterday and were really unlucky to lose by 2 points

Smith looked less than average to be fair and could have won the game twice in the last 5mins but knocked on the first time and threw the ball into touch rather than to the winger the secound

Heard Jimmy Keinhorst played and grabbed a try. Any thoughts on him as he impressed on the recent GB Students team

I didn't see Jimmy Keinhorst play Wigan but I have seen him play for Leeds Metropolitan University a few times in the last couple of months. He seems a great talent, he has been playing on the wing, but full back would probably suit him further, as he probably wouldn't be the fastest winger. He appears very safe under the kick, very solid defender and appears to have good foot work combined with good size and power to be a good full back. Have to see how he fairs in his trial games.

Jimmy had a bit of a shocker he did score but that was about the only thing he did right he didnt help the full full back out at all and cost us atleast 2 trys from kicks when he didnt track back for there kicks we already have a better full back currently in the 20s

He did well to play on Friday then, just 6 days later!

See Liam Hood played at scrum half against Cas with McShane at hooker. An exercise in getting them both on the field or something to consider for the longer term.

They've done that a couple times this year AG and also Macca switching to 13 when S. Casey has played 7 but Hood looks a threat wherever you pick him.
I think Hoods next step is a stint on loan next year.

RR thats what Mcshane told me after the wigan game as he walked back to the bus with his knee strapped up so yeah he did well to play 6 days later

Ive seen Mcshane and Hood play together lots of times and the make quite a potent partnership it would be good to see Hood play at a higher level than the under 20s see just how good he is

Theres quite a few good young hookers knocking about at the minute how do you think Hood and Mcshane compare to what the other clubs have?
