Do you remember Lesley's first season with the Bulls? No, most Bulls fans would prefer to forget it too. I'm not saying that Ah Van will ever actually be any good, but he does at least look a bit like Big Les (who we are signing for next season, FACT).

As for Big Les, he was better than Ah Van in his first year. But maybe that was down to his inside man. Ah Van will never be anything better than an average club player who, because he kicks at around 80%, will get picked every week.

Vainikolo wasn't that bad in his first season at Bradford - just took him a while to live up to his 'Volcano' tag.
This myth came about from wishful thinking on the part of one-eyed opposition fans (myself included at the time...). We would have loved to have him at Leeds at any stage of his career prior to ruining his knees.

As for Ah Van looking like Les, I can't really see it, other them both being chunky Kiwi wingers.
