| I agree with your report Paul. I was happy with the effort of the players, we carried teh bal a lot stronger and our defence was tough and committed. But IMHO we are clueless going forward and my views on the coaching set up are decidely unchanged despite a gutsy performance, against a very, very poor Hull side.

| I enjoyed the game and the performance from Leeds. Dominant for long periods over a limited Hull side but I don't care about that as you can only play what's in front of you and Leeds did just that. Forced three drop outs without conceding any .... Sky mentioned one missed tackle, it'll be interesting to see if Opta agree (I don't think they will.)
A first step but we've seen a few of those already this season that failed to materialise into anything more than a false dawn.

| I think the report is a little harsh on the players. It was played under difficult conditions, we were playing a side who were on a bit of a high having put 50+ past their last two opponents and we'd lost the last three. The defense was excellent not just for the few times Hull got within our line but also in keeping them in their own half, the attack was a little lack lustre at times but came good in the end and the game for me proved we need Burrows playing at 7, Mags at 6, Sinny loose forward and Buderous on the pitch at 9 for as many minutes as possible

Agree entirely. We weren't fluid with the ball but I also enjoy watching good solid defence and there was plenty of that last night.

| I must have been watching a different game to the one in that match report. We defended probably the best we have done all year (or 2 as we nilled them); and although as lacking in ideas in attack as ever near the line, we won pretty convincingly. Hull weren't good; that is true. However, we played as a team; we nuckled down; didn't answer back to the ref all night; defended as a unit; played in their half; and showed a great attitude. What more can the side do? They are the confident world beaters of a few years ago, but they are improving. I don't like McDermott as a coach but am prepared to give him a little longer. We aren't playing the riduculous style we did earlier in the year of throwing the ball around for fun, but seem more focused.
Next week is the one that matters. Not just because it's the cup, but because we need to put in good performances consistently. A win next week and the situation will look so much better!
