He was certainly the player I would have liked us to sign. Be a good signing for Saints that.

I wonder how long we will have to wait to hear anything consdering we are club with the biggest revamp required.

Hardly, Saints are losing/lost Graham, Eastmond, Cunnigham, Wellens & Pryce thats a substantial spine of the team to replace.

Leeds need to replace Webb, Senior, Lauititti and to a lesser extent Peacock in the next year its hardly the spine of a team.

Pryce is out of contract at the end of the season and leaving for pastures new FWIH. Wellens is just past it and needs moving to loose, his lack of pace is getting more and more found out.

Like Charlie Brown, I won't be losing any sleep over a team that hasn't won anything in over 5 years signing a 30 year old Aussie.

We've actually lifted 7 trophies in the last 5 years but carry on.

As a like for like replacement for Flannery, which at this stage it is, I believe we've upgraded our squad. With all our kids another year older next year I still think we'll be challenging. Replacing Graham will be extremely difficult though.

Indeed I have, but I have also been extolling the virtues of having quality experienced players with the kids. That is how we built the success we did, and how I want to see it happen again.

Senior, Webb, Ali, Kylie, should not be here next season, along with a rotated role for Peacock. That's a lot of experience to take out of the side.

There's plenty of experience in Buderus, Peacock, JJB, Sinfield, McGuire and Burrow. Smith, Ablett, Hall, Bailey are also pretty experienced.

Im happy we havent signed him.

He had a good couple of years in his mid 20's but certainly isnt the player he was back then. He is a good hole runner though and will score a few tries against poorer defences. As for a game changer, im afraid he isnt.

I'd rather Saints signed someone like Scruton, or maybe even Amor to be honest.

The way Ambler and Amor have been going this season we will effectively have two new signings in the front row. They are both showing now they are of the required ability and will certainly be all that is required if they are only to replace Kylie in the front row IMO. Would far rather we kept cap space available to secure these two than sign another 30 year old stop gap signing.
