Because he missed him completely so never laid a hand on him. Bizarre, I know, but I suspect that's the reason.

| Tvoc, would you be so kind as to produce composite stats for the Leeds players over the 3 easter games?
B McD was keen to praise JJB so I wondered if the stats backed this up?

| Take a bow McShane!! 33-0 outstanding for a youngster.
Some people said last year he needs to improve his defence to earn first team honours. Well hasn't he done that. The world is at his feet. He has everything. Inc an outstanding kicking game. His scooting from dummy half and his bullet passes for the Hall and Wakins tries were brilliant.

Wasn't that Clark? Or was it Clark who bought the dummy?
Either way, a hooker defending his own line should know better.

| Wxcellent work from McShane.
JJB put in a huge stint over the 3 games and so did Clarkson who must have been near the top tackler over the holiday.

| 31 carries by Chase? Some form of record or just me that's never seen that many before!?
Clarky doing what he has done since he came into the side and working his nuts off. Rob compared him to JJB after the Cru Cru Crusaders and he certainly looks to be playing that way ATM.
Top effort by McShane too. Who needs an old Aussie in there hey?

| Every time tvov does this thread i seem to be drawm to Amblers stats. Every week this lad seems to produce excellent stats. Seems to be a certainty to command a place next year.
On the other stats, can't believe we missed more tackles than Cas.

Chase averages 30 carries a game. Cas completely rely on him. Would be interesting to see him in a team where the pivots shared the work a bit more...
(Incidentally, talking of one-man teams, Roby is averaging nearly 40 carries a game over this season, and 40 tackles, and over 200 metres. I think those stats are unprecedented).

From the times I've seen Saints on TV this year, he's clearly the standout player in the league.
It's going to be tough for him to maintain that workload through the season, playoffs and internationals.

A big improvement over Easter.
Would it be churlish to point out that he still had the fewest carries of all of our forwards?

| Quote ="G1"A big improvement over Easter.
Would it be churlish to point out that he still had the fewest carries of all of our forwards?
'"
It would be churlish. But what wouldn't be churlish is why has he stepped it up when there is competition for his place. Why could he not do that before hand?

Indeed. I made a post earlier this year, after one of his "4 carry" games that Kirke, as a 1st team player of some 6 seasons with us, should have been our pack leader when all our forwards were injured.

| Quote ="Old Feller"Tvoc, would you be so kind as to produce composite stats for the Leeds players over the 3 easter games?
B McD was keen to praise JJB so I wondered if the stats backed this up?'"
Yes that would make for an interesting read.
I'll only do so for the players who featured in all three games though so that will be (in squad number order): Webb, Delaney, Senior, Hall, Burrow, Leuluai, Jones-Buchanan, Ablett, Sinfield, Kirke, Burgess, Clarkson and McShane.

| Quality over quantity from the five props in the 17 for Leeds. Lower minutes, better impact.
A sign of things to come in terms of team selection?
