First of all, a much better or should I say safer game with ball in hand, and much better defence individually.

However, every single point conceded came on the back of stupid, blatant and needless penalties. You could see it coming a mile off. There needs to be some serious flogging in training related to these penalties. It's just dumb play, and more often than not from the same few players, and players who really should know better.

All in all, I'd like to think it was a step forward - so no doubt back to the normal dross against the Crusaders.

And four of your tries gained came of the back of forward passes, what you moaning about, with that sort of luck/cheating your team will probably go far again this season!!!

Hopefully a win against crusaders and we can kick on from there. Agree about the penalties but I was just pleased to see us complete some sets and make a slightly better defensive effort

Does anyone know why our wonderful coach had to stand next to the floodlight rather in the stand like any other normal coach? I really didn't see what he was benefiting from sitting there.

So he could say after the game "it didn't look like four forward passes won us the game from were I was" !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wasn't moaning about the penalties being given - they were all clear penalties, I was 'moaning' about our players stupidity in giving these penalties away. The worrying thing is that this is a recurring theme from the past 18 months or so. Basic ill-discipline - that should be punished by the management, both as a unit (team game, team punishment - hopefully create positive peer pressure) and then individually aswell for repeat and stupid offenders - ahem JJB, Cross, Sinfield (who definitely should be setting a better example - although he does in many other areas)

Oh, and I'm guessing the coach was watching from there to critique the sliding defence and see who is exactly to blame. To be fair, if it was, it worked as the defence was better.

This is true. But he's had a lot of stick recently, and its only right to give him credit tonight. Also thought Cross made some good yards - but ruined it with just about the worst sort of penalty to give away.

In all honesty though, I thought the overall standard of both teams was very poor, a sad indictment of the standard of Super League nowadays.

Senior looks ok when he's goes straight forward! His play to set up rob last week was outstanding!this season he has looked awful defensively and his decision making has been poor. Bradford's inability to get the ball wide all night meant that aspect of his game wasn't tested. All in all an improvement though

Not sure that is quite correct - agree re JJB's difficult to see how McShane's or Buderus' runs from dummy half could have been forward and Hall's try definitely not so that leaves Senior's which again I am not sure was forward.

Senior and burrow who I have been quite critical seemed to play better. The team as a whole in second half seemed more solid. Some stupid penalties conceded, but in general not as much stupid ball thrown about. The hall try was a brilliant team score from the initial brake to the end.

Also i noticed kirke tackled back well on one occasion. Which was a big effort.

Nothing like a sore loser, JJB's granted - dont remember any others.

Agree, think that ripon air making him a bit deluded

Also don't think the sinfield "strip" on elima was the wrong decision. I think elima played for that and released the ball.

Webb also gave a bit of a cheap shot to him after the try but the play acting was embarrasing.
