He showed himself to be solid as a rock in the second row, very effective.
As the mighty bloodbath predicted. Some people know the stats, some people know the game.

It's useful sometimes to know useless information.

| As Raheem Morris (head coach of the Bucs for those who feel out of the loop) reitterated all last season... "Stats are for losers"
No offence tvoc
Anyone can look at stats and think, wow he had a good game... or, he must have had a stinker... but its not always the case. Look at Watkins' stats in week 1 for instance. They look pretty poor, but for those who watched the game they would notice that every thing he did looked pure class.
edit: I do like checking the stats out though just to see the numbers

| None taken. Whoever said stats are for losers was right.
And given that this Morris character (sorry I'm out of the loop) appears to have lost more games than he's won as a head coach he must use them extensively.
__________
Re Watkins, week two, I thought he had a relatively poor game and the stats appear to back that up.

| Wikipedia is your friend. Don't tell me they actually got something right.
[iAfter starting the season 0–7, Morris earned his first victory as a head coach in week 9 against the Green Bay Packers. On November 24, 2009 Morris took over as the defensive coordinator after relieving Jim Bates of his duties.[4 He finished his first year as the head coach, leading the team to last in the NFC South with a 3–13 record. In his second season, the team finished 10-6, barely missing the playoffs.[/i
Perhaps next year he'll get someone to explain how to use stats to improve team performance.

Id say 3-13 in his 1st year in charge to 10-6 the year after shows that he has improved the team quite a bit. This is also a team opperating at $30mil under the cap

It was actually dropped for the year last season due to issues with the CBA but the season before it was $128 million per team and we didnt buy into the free agency market much either. £30mil could get you quite a few quality players. It's just the owners like to pour their money (or lack of) into other sources.

The team I follow gave 1 player a contract worth $100 million. It was over 7 years. For cap reason's he's already "earned" about $34 million in the 1st two years. I used quotation marks because he's been a huge bust and barely played last year due to suspensions, team disciplinary reasons etc.
Luckily, the Redkins owner is so wealthy he makes Paul Caddick look like Del Trotter.
The player's earn anywhere from £20 million a year down to $350,000 a year.
The cap has evened up the competition in the NFL between the teams but it hasn't distributed the money evenly between the players in any way shape or form. the top 10% get mega contracts and the rest get the crumbs.
