I watched the game the other night, and the pitch looked spot on! Pitty it will be all mud and sand for our season start

And here' me thinking that's what the 'wrong code' was all about.

Just watched the 78 Cc Leeds and saints. The scrums were very interesting!

Its more Interesting at home farm at temple newsham to watch some fat porkers roll around in the mud for 80 mins than paying any amount of money to watch posho rah rah nonsense. Club level RU is dire, heiniken cup is passable after the first rounds, while at international level it is good indeed (just not England) kind of like the reverse of league.

That game last night was nothing short of atrocious.

Interesting in a sentence about union is probably...."I went to watch Leeds Carnegie and the most interesting part was going for a dump at half time"

Notice Leicester beat Bath yesterday,who are supposedly two of the top teams.Score 21-15,sounds as if exciting.
Six penalties and a drop goal to Leicester, 5 penalties to Bath.
How could 21k turn up to watch this dross.
Surely it would be cost effective to the clubs just to sign and pay for a goal kicker as obviously the other players are not required.Just take penalties and drop goals for 80 minutes - job done.

Agreed - either widen the pitch or reduce the number of players on it to say... oo I don't know...maybe umm... 13.

Also to make it more exciting limit the number of tackles that each team gets to say... 6 before they have to hand over the ball.

What about making the ball more visible to the spectator in the tackle by stopping play when a player is tackled and the tackled player somehow playing the ball back to one of his own team, this would prevent those tedious and tiresome 'dog piles' where the ref inevitably blows for a penalty.

I've got loads more ideas like these to make Union more exciting.

Watced the last two Union games up at Headingley and Friday nights game was terrible, even through watching the game on tv on Friday it was too easy to see how negative Leeds played which was a shame
