how was your weekend?

stayed at a great hotel in the docklands. there was a wedding reception on the friday night. the groom,who i met at the bar, was a big leeds utd fan. we got talking and all i remember is singing M.O.T. at half 4 saturday morning.

sat night got dressed up and we had a great meal in central london.
came back on the tube and a young black lad on the tube was off his head pretending to be buzz lightyear.
he then pulls a knife and stabs a woman in the arm. two big black guys pinned him down while i gave first aid. thankfully she was fine.however my beautiful,sexy
pink armani shirt was covered in blood and ruined and i have to go back down to london for the court case.
then i got back to the hotel,slipped in the shower and broke two fingers.
and yiu think the players had a bad saturday!!!!!!!!!!!!

I only hope you plead guilty for wearing a pink shirt in public and at that I expect the full force of the British justice system to kick in, one hour community service pleasuring yourself watching Internet porn.

The Friday night sounds good to me mate!

My day wasn't too bad. Good journey down, few football cards and plenty of booze. Felt like a proper lads outing with banter flying about the bus.

luckily for the woman it wasn't to bad but it could have been far worse. she got lucky.

friday was great. the wife went to bed at 11 and i was "just going to have a quick one in the bar" with a halifax fan we met in reception

Apart from the game it was a great day out .
Best part was when we got back to Leeds and went into Wetherspoons at the train station .
There were two couples sat at a table inside right next to the window . There were quite a few of us watching them through the window when one of the couples kicked off .
The man threw a drink over the woman , then stood up and gave her a load of verbal abuse . It was going on for quite a while and she was looking rather bored .....soooo.....

We voluntered JR to take her a cheese sarnie in . Not just any old cheese , but proper Wensleydale 10p dearer than Morrison's own brand (in joke).
The looks on the faces of those at the table were priceless .
The lady started eating the (10p dearer than Morrison's own brand )Wensleydale sarnie as the ranting and shouting continued . So we sent JR back in with a bottle of brown sauce I had in my bag.
The lady put some sauce on the sarnie continued eating . By this time some of us outside were almost in tears . She smiled and thanked us as she finished the sarnie . The man was absolutely furious ... soooo.... Back in goes JR with a handful of jellybabies . She was almost wetting herself laughing with us as she shared the jellybabies with the other lady . The man was speechless . Two more visits to their table , the first one by Caz to get some sauce on a sausage roll , failed to retrieve the bottle of sauce , but the man calmed down and kinda saw the funny side . I just wish they had had the neck to come out of our door when they left instead of sneaking out the other side of the pub . They would have got round of applause .

I was talking to a Bulls fan outside the same place and he said he had watched the match on telly and had been cheering for Wire . He said I would have done the same had it been Bulls/Wire final . I said I would have cheered the Yorkshire team . He just wasn't having it that Wire ain't in Yorkshire . I asked a fella who was standing nearby to settle the argument . The response we got from his mate was a stream of abuse aimed at everything Wire and Lancs .He named most of the Wire team in his rant and said some rather unsavoury but extremely funny things about them , especially Lee Briers . Said lad had 'SIBBO' on the back of his Rhinos shirt , anyone know him ? Seemed a good lad . He had us in stitches with his rants .

Great journey down saw loads of Blue 'n' Amber and Whites on their way to Watford really impressed with Wembley and my eldest was chuffed she got to come with us but it was gut wrenching watching her get upset by a pathetic effort on the pitch.
I was actually more gutted for her than the performance because we never looked in it after 15 minutes.
Glad everyone got home safe though.

He was more a Fila & Tacchini bloke back in the day. Always be grateful for that blue Tacchini tracksuit top....

Tried a different route down which worked very well. Turn off M1 at Jct 21, on M69/A46 to Warwick Parkway station (on bye pass) 2 hours 15 minutes from Harrogate. Train every 20 mins direct to Wembley Stadium station (1 hour 30 mins) In pub for 12.30 Saved all the busy bottom half of M1

Apart from the result, I enjoyed a great day out with my 7 year old son, on his 1st Wembley trip.

His highlight of the day was beating me 3-2 at Top Trumps on the train home!!

My planned morning coffee rendezvous evaporated, so instead, I went to have a quick look at what used to be the Admiralty building (my old flat) in the depths of Eastern London ... It's still there.

Spent most of the rest of the morning guiding some very off course Loiners in the general direction of North West London.

The train back was somewhat entertaining .... The train in front of us was stopped at Peterborough whilst the police went onboard to sort out the hassle. In case you're wondering, that one was going to HULL ...

My train got a bit further up before someone pulled 'the chain' and caused an emergency stop, which stuck us in the middle of nowhere for a good 10 minutes whilst the train staff sorted that out.

We had a great weekend, and on the things we did in London, saved loads of money.
Got the train down Fri lunch, and checked into the Hilton to be given a free upgrade. Out into Covent garden to have a nice meal then see a fantastic show. Back to the hotel.
Sat....a swim and steam room before breakfast, then breakfast before meeting family and friends in baker street. Tube to the match, wasted two or three hours watching some rubbish, then back to Baker street to discuss said rubbish over two or three pints.

Wandered to China town where we had a nice meal, then back to the hotel.

Sunday.... breakfast, then Madame Tussards, (2 for 1). Then hotfooted it over to London Dungeons, (free!) and we both really enjoyed both attractions. Back to the area of our hotel, and stopped in a real locals pub for a couple of drinks, before changing and going for a lovely Italian meal, (half price!)
Today, a swim and sauna, leisurely breakfast, then met some friends who brought us back upto Leeds, stopping at Bray on the way for a late lunch.

Oh dear Tad. I topped off the day by going to visit my friend for his birthday in Fulham. His girlfriend's friends were armwrestling, I had a go with one of them and her arm snapped above the elbow. Cue ambulance and me feeling about 20 times worse than any Leeds performance could ever make me feel!
