There used to be giant 2ft long rats where the old Stanningley rugby club was before it got knocked down. Its not that uncommon. Still, when my cat jumps on my lap from now on Id better just glance down and check

And TBF if thats only twice as big as a British rat then ive never seen a rat as the biggest one I have seen probably isnt even the size of that 1s head.

Ditto - the biggest rat I ever saw was one our cat caught, and excluding the tail was probably about 8 inches long. Much nicer colour than that as well, more blond.

They reckon it's a coypu now. The body mysteriously disappeared and they claim a fox ate it. If I was a suspicious person I'd say it was just some chav trying to get 'in t'papers'. It worked!

It's that big it's holding a green brush in its hands. But it's not a rat, it doesn't have a rats face.

Either that or a Greater Cane Rat / Grasscutter (Thryonomys swinderianus), which despite the name, isn't a rat at all (but is still a rodent) and is often used in Africa for 'bush meat'.

They'll make up half the Bradford first team at the rate things are going at Odslum ...
