| Kirke's go forward stats are awful.
Clarkson yet again looks pleasing, infact the starting 8-13 look pleasing - barring Kirke's(how long was he on the field for?)

| Some good meters there. But how does Kirke get in the side before Ambler?

I take it you didn't see the game? Shows why these stats are useless without vieiwng the game (can't beleive I am defending Kirke and passing up the opportunity to stick in the boot).
He came off injured after about 20 mins and didnt come back on. Mind you, I think Opta have credited him with double the carries he actually made.

G1 in defending of a soft cock shocker
I didn't. Just some thoughts on the stats really, nothing insightful on their performances.

| I think they show that people's comments on here re JJB were spot on.
The stats for Salford explain why Swain was out on his feet.
Their lack of metres going forward does show how much we gave them possession in our half but then how good (generally) our defence was.
Burgess' tackle stats will surprise some on here.
Had Smith committed the no. of errors Webb did, would be saying how good it was to see him back?
My comment at the game was that it showed he needed the game before the next two weeks & that hopefully he's got them out of his system now.

| Not quite sure how we managed to let in 22 points against - frankly - a poor side given how few tackles were missed by the forwards.

I'm not sure how accurate the missed tackle column is this week. Aparently McGuire didn't miss 1 but Gibbo waltzed past him on 2 occasions. 1 leading to a try the other actually scoring. McShane is a terrible defender and 1 of thier tries came because he didn't do anything but flap his arms as the prop (I think) ran past him.

3 try's were leaked out wide softly.
Take Gibson's first score, even with Smith and Hall tackling him he still scored. So there weren't mis-tackles here just a failure to stop a try.
Leeds defence was good overall. Especially in the second quarter. Just a bit sloppy out wide. Once we got our noses in front we did take the foot of the gas in this area.

Soft cock shocker? You could almost rewrite the Quik-fit fitter jingle with that phrase.

| You can certainly see why McLennan is wary of exposing McShane to first team rugby every week and has chosen instead to retain Buderus alongside Diskin.
Frankly the kid's a walking gap.

Some people think Diskin is blocking his way to the first team, don't get me wrong I like the lad and he's a young Leeds player so obviously I hope he becomes the best No 9 ever but for me his defence has been very disappointing during the limited opportunity's he has been given this year.

| Agree 100% with the last 2 comments.
Massive room for improvement here.
If you actually look at how McShane tackles (especially in the Salford game where I really noticed) he actually likes to tackle directly front on and he trys to hold up the player, in the upper body section. Almost like a boxer going for the slow down grapple.
Firstly this conceeds that he is waiting for back-up to help 'down' his man.
Secondly look at the logic behind it, with big props like Cashmere et al running at him they are going to bounce him off, be over powered. Which is what happens.
