Understandable for the desperation to get Buderus back as quick as possible, especially considering his understudies performance last week.

For me McShane was the most disappointing thing about last week, hope it was just a one off.

Or he's just fit and ready. Minus the agenda.

I too hope its just a one off because from what i have seen prior to that he looks very good for the future, but no1 on top form in SL is in Buderus's class.(please no Danny/Diskin debates)

I would hope it was more to do with him not having any specialist competition. But hope that is not just clutching at straws.

That I hope it was just a case of him getting carried away with himself, knowing that there was no Buderus or Diskin to compete with on the day. He must have expected to get longer than he had. But he couldn't get that extra time because of the performance.

But like I said, I could be clutching at straws. But he wouldn't be the first or the last young player to get above himself.

That would be a very very poor excuse and a strange train of thought for having a bad game.

Had Buderus left the country Friday?

I thought his mere presence would make McShane a better player.

Miraculous recovery by Buderus if he plays on friday, wasn't he supposedly out for 4 weeks in his initial prognosis?

Nope. 2 to 4 weeks miraculously returning 2 weeks after his injury.

well he hasn't played yet. But it's obvious we missed him and disco last week! disco n Webb should be back in a few weeks. I think gotcha said they think beast might be back for the semi?

He wasn't at his best i agree whether that was down to him as an individual or due to the teams poor performance i don't know but he was certainly no worse than some of the more Senior members of the squad on Friday and i thought he showed up very well defensively.

Give it a rest. Try to look at it objectively rather than because he's related to you or a mate or whatever.

He had a poor game last week, he has loads of potential, but he was poor last week.

There's no getting away from the fact that McShane was very poor last week, but he has great potential as EotB says, and will surely bounce back. Based on last week though he might need to work on his tackling technique and his aggression in defence. Burrow had problems in his early career IIRC but worked hard on it and has great technique now.

No not touchy at all, If he's worthy i'll definitely criticise his performance and although you could say he was indeed poor last week he certainly wasn't 'the most disappointing thing about last week' IMO and i think to single an individual out after that team performance was harsh.

He was poor yes but i just don't see how in such a poor team performance where our pack never layed a platform you can single out a inexperience Hooker for most criticism. Rob Burrow can indeed have a good technique at times against the bigger man but he certainly hasn't got a 'great technique', one of his biggets problems being moving his head to the side during the tackle.

Chill out, I didn't single him out for anything I said for me it was the most disappointing aspect, that alone should tell you I rate him very highly and was looking forward too seeing him get a full 80mins with not Buderus or Diskin in the team but he didn't take that opportunity as well as I had hoped and had a poor game.

It's not a knee jerk it's my view on that one game and fwiw I would throw him straight back in on friday against Hudds with Buderus.
