| Like I said on the other thread, Senior and JJB definately missed 7 tackles, although I also pointed out there would be an interpretation issue, which I can accept.
Take your point about Eastwoods defence, although I am sure he made more than 5 tackles. Personally did not have him down for man of match anyway though, although not relevant.
I dissagree with you on the McGuire try assist. It was a great pass from McShane, but that try still took a hell of a lot of scoring from McGuire.

Quote Nothing for Paul McShane (Danny McGuire try) - unlucky to miss out on one after a great pass. A high spot in an otherwise poor afternoon for Jamie IMO.

You're not really disagreeing as although I said he was unlucky I didn't really expect him to receive the assist now that Opta have tightened up the criteria again. Earlier in the season it would have stood a better chance.
It's a problem I have with the Assist stat generally, given that a quality ball like McShane gave goes unrewarded (a similar effort from Eastwood at Odsal suffered likewise) yet any form of kick no matter how shady is automatically rewarded.

I am firmly of the opinion that JJB does far too much work. It was highlighted a lot yesterday. The guy gets through a mountain of work, shows a lot of enthusiasm, but tends to mucky it with mistakes.
IMO his fellow players should take some of the load off, and try and channell JJB's effort better. It's for the coach to get hold of though, and I am not sure wether it would help the team or not, just him personally.

Good showing for Buderus too.
Some on here will no doubt complain though

| Stats clearly show JP had a very good game, even though I feel they still don't do him justice. The track back on MM was absolutely superb, add that to the play he came up with in the QF. The bloke just keeps going and works his nuts off for the players around him.
JJB looks to be trying too hard to make things happen. Sometimes all the effort in the world can be put in but the plays may just not come off. Maybe a lower workload would see him cut out the errors. I thought he'd made more than 2 missed tackles in the first half too, as I said a poster on here.
Shows an improvement from Bailey going forward, thought he was very good yesterday and right from minute one it became obvious they were going to target him but a little bit of footwork got him out of trouble on a few occasions. Then he was dominated in the tackle and came up with a pretty good offload that we made a few more metres on the back of.

| Eastwood gave Morley a big don't argue from the base of the scrum for his break in the first half. That was one of the missed tackles.
I think some opposition attackers choose to run away from Eastwood sometimes, ditto Kylie.

Beastwood also cut through Moz's attempted "haymaker" for his try purely unstoppable.

| I doubt Morley would be afraid of anyone. More a question of whether age is starting to catch up. He's always had a problem with 'technique' every now and then, which does account for some misses.

Senior also blasted through Mozzer's grasp in the buid up to his try which was best of the afternoon.
And one of my favourites of the season.
Uncle Keith, Super League's Greatest Centre, also put in a massive shift in the tackle. He missed a couple of sitters, but his sheer work rate overall will easily let me overlook that.

I couldnt work out Senior. Did McClennan keep switching him to the other side?

Spot on.
However in both of those, in the interest of balance, Ablett and JJB missed the initial tackles. Bailey got over to cover but couldn't quite get man and ball. I remember Briers just sliding the ball out, in one of the incidents.
I also remember Briers' short kick off

Yeah. Deffo in second half, I noticed Delaney pop up on our left.
I wonder if they did it to neutralise Bridge better??

I thought that, at times Delaney appeared on the left and senior on the right. They said on the commentary that they were targetting our left hand side, so it may have been to combat it, or it could have been our backs being pulled all over the place, I know for Riley's last try Senior tracked all the way from left to right, only to get intelligently stepped

He didn't go all the way from the left, he was actually defending on the right at that stage.

| Eastwood was a bit lazy for Atkins try, he could have covered Atkins easily, it not like an offload from Solomona is a big shock.

He tracked from way left of the posts all the way across behind the line though. If he was defending right, he was well out of position
