My dad lived in Benidorm, I have been there too many times to admit to, and driven back from there to the UK several times too, I once stayed in an apartment that was right above the door of the club that Sticky Vicky was appearing in - long nights trying to sleep while some Spaniard stands on the street outside your window touting for her with "Steeeee-kee Veee-keeee".

If I never go back there again then I'll die happy

A few weeks ago I spent a whole sunday evening on google earth and its street photos taking a walk down the Av del Mediterraneo from the Vina Del Mar to the old town - can't believe that I ever used to populate that place



After my dad had died me and my brother flew out there to drive his car back, we got on the plane at Manchester on a saturday morning in February with a hundred or so old biddies who were going for the winter, we'd scrounged one night on the floor of one of my dads mates apartments and were starting the drive back on the sunday - I ended up sitting nest to an old lady who couldn't stop gabbing with everyone, she turned to me and asked if I was going to Benidorm, told her I was and she asked how long I was going for, "I'm coming home tomorrow" I told her, she thought I was taking the p1ss and she never said a word to me for the rest of the flight.

Due to the many cheap airlines, Benidorm is now for people who can't afford Butlins!!!!

Due to getting on a bit and people wanting a quiet life Butlins is now for people who are too past it for Benidorm!!!

Visited Benidorm many moons ago with some mates, the holiday rep warned us on arrival about young Barbara, claiming that she was originally a he - no idea if it was true or not. Female or male, it must have been a reasonably comfortable birth for Vicky....

...if not a little surprising for the midwife, "Whats this beer bottle doing in there..."

...Don't forget the never-ending string of bunting. Beer, decorations and a baby - Marvelous! All babies should arrive in such style...
