The draw for the semi-finals of the 2010 Carnegie Challenge Cup will take place on Wednesday June 2 at the Marriott Worsley Park Hotel, Manchester and will be broadcast live on BBC Radio 5 Live at 1.50pm
Making the draw for the penultimate stage of the competition will be Colin Clarke and Arthur Bunting, the coaches of Wigan and Hull FC in the 1985 Challenge Cup Final, a match widely regarded as the best final in the competition’s 113-year history.
Clarke famously guided Wigan to a 28-24 victory over Bunting’s Hull with Henderson Gill’s length of the field try being one of the most abiding memories in the Challenge Cup. Twenty five years on, the 1985 final has been selected the commemorative final for 2010
