it seems to be pot luck as to whether you get the try or not. last nights disallowed try could have gone either way and we need a bit of consistency.
in football, as some of you know i ref at a decent level, the call is gaining or seeking to gain an advantage.
to me in rl this should apply but the biggest fact should, for me, be did the 'offender' make a difference to whether it's a try or not.
in last nights case it didn't we would have got the try regardless of the contact between jjb and the defender.
every week on sky you see decisions go either way, we have had good and bad as have other teams. surely its time to try and get some consistency.
I wonder if the VR would have made the same call if he hadn't already disallowed 2 Saints tries. It's certainly an area with little consistency and would like to see it clarified.
Had Senior run into his dummy runner I wonder if Flannery's try would have been disallowed?
I tend to think not because the pass went to Flannery who was already outside the dummy runner. I believe that's why Hall's was disallowed because our player ran behind JJB.
