Keith's un-edited draft would be a far better read than what will actually appear on the bookshelves though IMO

I thought Sean Long's was a pretty honest account of his life so far. He was very frank about his weaknesses and never made excuses for his actions.

As for Senior's in the ultimate irony I'm going to buy it second hand from ebay so that he doesn't make any money out of it.

I'm sure Roy Francis will be up for a copy ....

I hope he dedicates it to Barry John Mather.

Longys was indeed a good read, bit too samey though. Played in a game. got pished. went home. got pished. woke up late for training. was still pished. got to training. sobererd up. went to the pub. got pished.

Mind you any bloke who nearly drowns himself in the sea after pooping himself at Blackpool.............. well................




JP's is a superb read. Keith if he can do one like that could do alot worse.

My personal opinion is that these shouldn't be done till after a players retired, that way they can say what they want, if it is done whilst they are still playing it will be a lot tamer.

Can see the interest in what he has to say about the game, coaches etc. But I would much rather read about high jinx episodes that used to come with the sport. I know the days of 10 pints after (or before) training have gone but sadly the game lacks the characters these days.

Fair point but we have had plenty of "characters" in B'n'A in the past and ended up winning fook all so i'd take todays approach other the past efforts of these characters.

No mate, but he's not a character, he's built himself up as one through his book. I here other players say so & so was a character & hear the stories which make me laugh, as for Long, never heard him called a character but it does begin with C.
