Regardless of what you think about what Senior said after the WCC and whether you think his fine was right or not, how can the RFL give a player a fine for saying what he did about the referee, but allow an international coach, who allegedly assaulted a ref and reporters, off with a warning??

I guess because you can't convict without prosecution witnesses who did not want to pursue the matter.

I was'nt at the Goulding incident so don't know how serious it was but i personally would have banned Senior for 3 matches and not paid him either and that might focus his petulant mind. Its not the first time he has let the side down.

Even though what he said was true?

Senior got fined for saying what he said.

Yet on Tuesday, in the French newspaper L'Independant, Bernard Guasch called the referee for the Castleford game 'dishonest', saying that 'he favoured the English. This was a direct quotation published and attributed to Guasch both on paper and online.

As a named official of the club, he must adhere to the same regulations as Senior. Namely, that no criticism of the referee must be made or it brings the game into disrepute. All of these regs are posted on the RFL site.

I contacted the RFL about these comments by Guasch, and what has happened, sweet nothing. Not even a reply.

My point is why should Senior get such a fine but the French chairman get away with it? And this is not an anti-Catalans point. I was more peeved that a player in the UK should be fined so much for saying much less. If we have rules, then they should be enforced equally to all.

Its been said a few times on this forum but Emma always starts the best threads on here.

First Mick Potter and now this, even Phil Clarke let fly at him (video ref) on Friday night, no wonder Ian Smith was sent to Barrow this weekend.

At least CMR was happy with his handling of the game last week so he still has one friend in his corner.
