Would just like to say i thought the ref handled the game really well tonight. let the game flow a couple of early penalties for both teams. cleared the ruck area allowing quick play the ball which suits our style.

He had nothing to ref. All he had to do was run up and down a pitch, point to the floor a few times and give a penalty or two every now and again to let us know that he's still there. Those kind of games are simple to control.

Last year, I thought Halibut was the worst ref in the league. He had a good game tonight but like Harrigan said, he didn't have much to do. I'm sure the penalty count must have been 12 - 2 to us. Looks like Quins tried to use Storm's tactics but got them woefully wrong.

The speed of the play the ball made it look like a different sport to that on display at Elland Road. Actually, I thought he was very harsh with some of his 2nd half penalties against Quins when we were on a roll.

That's only because you're a big softie at heart & by that time you were feeling sorry for the hapless Quins.

If the game had been reffed like that last weekend we'd have won.

How can you be so sure?
What would Inglis, Slater et al have done with a quicker PTB?
I fear we would have been beaten by a greater margin.
Don't forget even with the Storm tactics we arguably bombed 3 tries when we got over the line but couldn't ground the ball.
