Player: Metres - Carries (MT/Carry) - Tackles - Misses (Efficiency %) - Errors - Penalties
Leeds: 1252 - 224 (5.59) - 327 - 24 (93%) - 17 - 4
Salford: 1034 - 178 (5.81) - 373 - ? (??%) - 15 - 5
Webb: 151 - 23 (6.57) - 4 - 1 (80%) - 2 - 1

Hall: 76 - 17 (4.47) - 3 - 0 (100%) - 2 - 0

Burrow: 36 - 9 (4.00) - 7 - 3 (70%) - 1 - 0
Leuluai: 85 - 16 (5.31) - 30 - 1 (97%) - 1 - 0
Diskin: 58 - 9 (6.44) - 29 - 1 (97%) - 0 - 1
Peacock: 155 - 23 (6.74) - 33 - 2 (94%) - 0 - 0
Jones-Buchanan: 99 - 12 (8.25) - 26 - 2 (93%) - 0 - 1
Kirke: 93 - 17 (5.47) - 29 - 0 (100%) - 0 - 0
Sinfield: 77 - 16 (4.81) - 38 - 1 (97%) - 1 - 0

Lauitiiti: 70 - 11 (6.36) - 19 - 2 (90%) - 1 - 0
Eastwood: 89 - 14 (6.36) - 25 - 5 (83%) - 0 - 0
Bailey: 34 - 10 (3.40) - 19 - 1 (95%) - 0 - 1
Try Assists - Jones-Buchanan's total is unchanged so OPTA have either corrected last week's error or not awarded one this week for Senior's first try. The only assist definately given is for Burrow's kick to Webb and nothing for Hall's tip back for Senior's second or Eastwood's offload to Kirke. Considering Watkins got an assist at Wakefield when Donald still had three men to beat on the line we're still in the usual head scratching position.
Top tackler Kevin Sinfield, 38 with 1 miss well supported by Peacock, Kirke, Diskin and Leuluai.
Ryan Bailey supporters may have their work cut out based on this week's figures but I doubt they'll be put off.

I wonder if running backwards is taken into account?
Stats although never totally conclusive point towards that too, his average is pathetic and it was clear Bailey just wasnt trying with ball in hand for mine

Thought bailey made some nice carries and a couple of smart off loads. I didn't come away from the game thinking bailey had a poor game.

| Sarge, have Eastwood's stats altered your opinion of his effectiveness?
Sinfield's stats would suggest yet again a very effective & busy game, not a view widely held on here.
It goes to show that bare stats aren't everything and/or how unreliable people's thoughts are in the immediate aftermath of any game.
It all makes for a good debate though.

| These stats are wholly unreliable.
Webb had two misses for each of the Salford tries and if Kirke got through that much work then I am well hung.

| It is clear that Kevin put in a big defensive effort and 16 carries is OK but what it does not tell you is how well, or not, he made use of the ball when in hand. I would say in that respect, he was below what we have come to expect of him as the norm. That is why many people, me included, thought he had a poor game (for him).
However, when it comes to our halves I think the stats back my opinion on the other thread that Danny was the better of the two, although both were poor. He has got through twice as much work as Burrow in most areas, who's stats are very poor, not only in comparison to Danny's but also his performances in the earlier rounds. Danny's error count was high but I think that Danny was trying hard to make up for a poor show from his no. 7.

| tvoc - also meant to mention penalty counts from this game to Wakefield game! I thought out discipline in the Salford game was good (and so was there's to be fair) but from a 17 to a 4 in one week!!! I thought that Bentham was happy to let the game run and if this game had been ref'ed by Ganson that count would probably have been up towards 8 to 10 each, but I think it proves how much Child did cane us at the Wakefield game, how that not only led to frustration in the players and therefore more penalties, but it highlights my opinion of a poor display from him in general.
Yes, also think the stats show that in general our forwards are laying a good platform but we need to be more creative with ball in hand in the halves and backs!

Whilst the stats don't match the criticism mate can you seriously say before seeing them he had as much impact as the other forwards??
I admit the stats have really surprised me because other than his try i hardly noticed him whilst the likes of Beastwood,Peacock and Jjb really stood out imo through their efforts.

I found this interesting as i don't remember us receiving a penalty for it but Webb did get penalised and the Ref clearly indicated he'd led with the forearm/elbow yet he hasn't been cited.

I am sorry but how on earth can McGuire's errors be attributed to Rob in that way?
I repeat, Burrow created half our tries. McGuire created none. McGuire also made 4 errors, although it would seem that was because of Rob.

No I agree mate I was a little suprised myself. It just seems first impressions don't tell the full story but nor do the stats, it's almost never black White and more often than not a shade of grey.

| The most glareing worry for me is the missed tackles for Eastwood. Didn't he do 4 last week aswell? thats 9 in 2 games . Yes he looks great with ball in hand, but surely that many missed tackles, if correct, needs addressing?

| You lot are funny. When they support your prejudices you roll them out as concrete proof. When they point to an opinion you cannot stomach the validity of the professionally produced stats is brought into question.
I'll repeat Ryan Bailey is a pathetic prop forward. Without Peacock you would struggle with that workshy front row.

Yeah, they weren't particularly impressive. Defensively good, but there isn't a lot of meterage being gained all round by the pack, which is ultimately one of their roles, given that the lack of metres gained in the backs suggests you weren't breaking from deep.
Could all be skewed by you having a dominant kicking game and field position of course, but even so 3 metres per carry from only 10 from a prop.

Did you see the Leeds - Salford game???
I presume you will have done. Because your views could only be gathered by watching the game.

| For someone as pathetic and insignificant as Bailey, so you claim, you and the other 'tards do talk about him a great deal.
What's the story??
Maybe it's a Saints thing??
I mean James Graham, your alleged enforcer, froths at the mouth at just the sight of Ryan Bailey. I couldn't imagine the real deals doing that (i.e. Morley and Peacock for example).
So what is it about this 'lazy so and so' that forces people ('tards like you) to hold such a passioned opinion about him?? Surely he shouldn't be even noticed let alone mentioned and heavily discussed??
Ryan Bailey must surely be the uber force.
