Cas and Wakey both deserved their wins, they demonstrated a greater desire to win. Everyone wants to beat the champions but the champions have yet to display any real spirit this season. Perhaps the will to win was left behind in the Old Trafford changing rooms. Will someone pop back over the hill and bring it back quickly, maybe Salford will bring it over for us.
Pride is missing at the moment, I thought losing would hurt the players this week. It appears that complacency is the key word at HQ.

I thought we showed pride and spirit in the last 15 minutes mate and i don't think that's the major issue.
We just weren't good enough or sharp enough again today and it mirrors last years blip too many errors,forced passes and poor discipline.

Maybe their approach to the WCC challenge is different this year, maybe they're holding a bit back until then. Maybe we shouldn't panic just yet.

2 losses already isn't good really. We've suffered a 3rd of the amount of defeats we had last year with a 9th of the season gone.

Can be a bit of a poisoned chalice for the league, the old World Club thing. Saints had it a few years ago, where the RFL gave them some "easy" fixtures to warm them up and they slipped up against us. You lose focus for the start of the season, and there will be some good teams this year, and so you will need every point

I think the team that finishes top this year will lose a few more than in years gone. The competition is stronger now. I have been to all the games this season and my opinion is the intensity within the team is not there at the moment i am not saying they wish to lose but i think the club, players are working towards the world club challenge. 2 loses are nothing to worry about a third may come friday but i still would not panic. Other fans enjoy the moment.

Yet we only lost 2 of our last 19 last season. If we do that again after 22 games we will have won 18. After 22 games last year we had won 17.

they have given us 3 titles in as many years have you thought that it mght be tough for the lads and get tougher every year backing it up!

I think we could have won both games against cas and wakey if a few things had gone our way. I like the fact that the lads(if they were before) are under no illusion that anything other than our best and we can be beat!

I think you are right about holding back and not to panic, but I don't see it as different from last year.

We did the same thing last year, were undercooked for the WCC, and got blown away. Can't understand why they would follow the same thing, but hopefully this year will give a different result.

I think some of them are a bit deluded at the moment. Ryan Hall looked to be the only one who was annoyed about yesterday, the vast majority were too busy b*tching and moaning to the officials (Webb and Lauitiiti in particular). I can accept a level of arrogance from this side, they've earned it, but that word complacency is very apt after the first three weeks for me.

Also, can the coaches get Hall and Burrow to teach the likes of Jones, Bailey and Leuluai to actually tackle. Kylie's one effective shoulder on Tronc doesn't excuse the plethora of weak efforts put on show prior to that.

When you're stood talking to people do they often fall asleep?

Sticking all your eggs in the WCC basket looks good if you win it, and less of an issue if you subsequently go on to win another major honour.

Time will tell whether Leeds meet either of those criteria in 2010.
