| I would like Wigan, three reasons for this:
1, It would be a nice change - been there, beat them (twice) with Saints. And the Wigan fans will create a better atmosphere.
2, Wigan should be starting to get fatigued, they have already had 2 tough games and Saints will without a doubt take a lot out of them.
3, It would be priceless to see Sean Long bow out of St Helens with a defeat to Wigan!

| Saints. Simply because it'll be (more than likely) Nobby's send off and he will want to go out with a bang. Saying that i said the same about Anderson's last match in charge. Although i think Nobby has our number.

The easy decision for the RFL would be a Wigan win tomorrow.

He then consulted his touch judge who said Scrum to Catalan. He then disagreed with his touch judge. Then he lost confidence and asked Bentham to help out.
He couldn't get through to Bentham so just decided to reverse his decision.
Inept.
Even if we have Saints in the final give me Ganson.

| On a fan level I want to be facing Wigan. On a logical level I want to be facing saints because it won’t look good if its Leeds v Saints three years in a row. If it is Leeds and saints again I recon it’ll be the best one thanks to a lot of unfinished business. But whoever we get I really don’t care as long as it’s a good game of rugby league.

Oh aye! There will be plenty of biff, guarantee you. I think it could be the most ferociously contested GF ever. Both set of forwards would have had a nice work out the week before so they'll really be getting stuck in.

| Saints for me.
I don't really see any difference in threat from either team, but I just couldn't bear the build up which would be entirely about Brian Noble - especially if, as we all suspect, it's hios last game at the pies. Yet another game where we don't exist - just turn up and happen to accidentaly win.
Having said that, if the Pies win tonight we do get to start the "chokers" threads a week early..

Absolutely laughable refereeing. If he'd called what he saw he would have got it right, if he'd called what he saw and he'd seen McGuire knock on then fair enough. But to go to such a huge amount of trouble to get the wrong decision was hilarious.

| What I couldn't understand was that having given a warning (to both sides?) in the 1st half why did Silverwood not bin someone when offences continued in the second?
Does half time nullify previous warnings?
Can Silverwood only remember things for 5 minutes?
Were the offences different & therefore not covered by previous warnings?
Towards the end when it was clear that there was insufficient time left for the Dragons to win I was very worried that they would simply knock as many of the Rhinos team out of the Grand Final as they could.
Especially Casey McGuire who seemed to lose it big style.

| Saints!!!
Beating Saints in the GF will prove that we can not only beat our rivals again, but prove we can beat the next top team to us under pressure.
And yes when I die, I will be at the gates of Valhalla

| Either way it's going to be tremendously tough.
Theres a reason no ones won 3 super league gf's on the bounce before.
Can't ever remember beating wigan in a final though, just a whole bunch of defeats in the early 90's and before that I don't know.
I feel like nobby and wigan will have our number on neutral territory, so i'll go with saints.

| I've been ambivalent about it but St Helens supporting referee Steve Ganson (from St Helens) who is refereeing St Helens's game tonight has just given two very ropey decisons to penalise Wigan and the second of these gave the posession for a try to put them back in front.
Despite Ganson's occasional 'look at me' ego matches I do think he's the best referee we have. I'm happy that he's just made a couple of uncharacteristic errors but it doesn't [ilook [/igood.
I hope either Wigan go on to win or St Helens will go on to win comfortably so referring decisons can't be seen to have influenced the outcome unduly.

| In the build up to Saints 2nd try the offside decision was wrong and the pass from Long that went along the ground was forward.

You must see in 3D passovision because I couldnt tell in the real world and the video evidence was inconclusive.

It’s call ‘Panoramic vision’ – all Wigan fans (bog-brushers) stood on the Western Terrace also have it.
