Engage's panel of experts have all said Leeds will beat Catalans, most think Wigan will win at Saints (something they haven't done since 2003 in Super League) and the majority go for Hodgson as Man of Steel ...

It will be Saints v Leeds, Wigan havent got the game to beat Saints when it matters, I also expect Noble to revert to type and play the percentages, that will give Saints plenty of work down the middle which I expect them to cope with pretty easily.

Moz should win MOS but I very much doubt he will, Hodgson will win it.

And provide the best argument for finding an alternative way to find the winner...... again.

In fairness during the CC Final and the playoffs Hodgson has shown what a big game player he is...............oh hang on.

I'm just hanging off your coat tails re Hodgson but you're not wrong where he's concerned.

Too many blunders ball in hand to be a great player and my overriding image of him will always be Gorden Tallis ragging him into touch from twenty metres infield.

I hope Wigan make it over Saints. That will make a more interesting final.

Me too but I think too many people are over-estimating Wigan and under-estimating Saints.

I think saints will win by 10+ in a tough match FGB will get a nappy rash and then will lose his dummy again at O/T when those nasty leeds players hit him hard and win 3 in a row!

i cant see past a saints win really. Wigan i thought struggled at home against Cas and I dont think they were all that great against hull kr, just hull kr were the poorer team on the day.

They're always ''there or thereabouts'' in the playoffs though are wigan aren't they?

The only seasons i can think of where they didn't play in a grand final or an eliminator were 99 and the years they missed out on the playoffs.

So EVERY year bar one they have competed in the playoffs they have made a grand final or a semi.

I find it quite hilarious that wigan of all clubs only have one title to show for this so far from what is a very good playoff record.

As I have said before, the old MoS was a bunch of 'experts' panel decision and the new MoS is really now a Players Player award.

If we really want to to have a true MoS award it should be from a 10 strong short-list, picked by the expert panel, and then voted on by fans, players and the RL press with appropriate weighting being used to ensure that the fans votes play a smaller percentage of the overall result to stop club bias. You could then award a MoS and also a fans player of the year, a players player of the year and an RL press player of the year.
