Have you also noticed how quiet the crowd goes when someone is lining up a kick and not even bother to try and put the kicker off ? They're awfully civilised the Union lot.

if anything i think the total silence of the crowd will put more pressure on the kicker

Why would a Union crowd boo a "a tedious passage of kicking "? Isn't that a Rugby Union match?

Its the players who go see the fans after all. Imagine if you introduced American Football to a Rugby Union fan?

I think this has all been a terrible misunderstanding. sources at the game tell me that the crowd's frustration was, in fact, directed at stadium catering, who were being rather slow chilling sufficient quantities of Bollinger '57 to an appealing temperature in the unseasonably warm late September weather. I'm sure lessons will have been learned and everyone can now move on.

Union generally (and Saracens in particular) are perhaps discovering a downside to their increasing supporter base. The spectacle is s[ihi[/it. I'd be tempted to go to a Union game just to slow hand clap and boo. I'm that sort of person.

That was almost a McLaren catchphrase when anyone attempted to put off the kicker .... I'll credit Bill McLaren one thing. He couldn't half talk up a boring game of Union.
