| If ever there was an annual prize for the best club shop in Super League for selling Rugby League books, then the clear favourites would surely be Headingley this year.
Currently there are around twenty books on sale there, all well worth reading, as are most books about the greatest game and its players (and all good for Christmas presents too).
One book, now awaiting another reprint, which will soon be added to that collection, is my first novel 'One Winter'. Not bad timing either as in November it will be two years since the Pinewood Studios first asked to be sent a copy for it to be considered for turning into a film.
This Saturday (October 3rd) there is an opportunity for fans to have a chat about the book, or about rugby league literature in general or even have their names put down to be considered for a part in the film if it comes off. I will be in Waterstones in Albion Street from 11 a.m. onwards, signing copies of my fourth novel 'One Autumn and hoping to meet some budding film stars too!

| While I don't agree that most books about RL are worth reading, as it's just as possible to write a rubbish book about RL as it is about anything else, I did finish "One Winter" recently and would heartily recommend it to anyone, RL fan or not, and I'm looking forward to the rest of the series.
Any more news on the film? I reckon it'd work quite well on the screen.

| From what I have heard, it can take at least two years before a film company is in a position to be able to make a decision on whether to turn a novel into a film. Today with the credit crunch it could take much longer so the only news at the moment, is that there is no news.
