i think he was close the making the MOS list after the entire saints squad + academy players.

MOS should reward the hardest players , the ones that take a hiding and get back up and continue play without even looking at the ref . Add in the ones that don't want to leave the field even though the injury they just got is more severe and hurts more than a paper cut.. Not some lightweight high achiever in a team .

A MOS award goes to the player who makes the biggest impact throughout the season i think the RFL criteria of the award is.

MOS should be given to a hard man.. A man that would crawl over broken glass with everyone of his 13 opponents kicking his ribs while he trying to get the ball over the line.. Thats a man of steel.. Give the one you are on about a 'most influential player' trophy .

I was confused as to why some of the candidates for MOS were not in team of the year. I would have thought the shortlist would have been drawn up from the best players in their positions over the competition

I think the team is chosen by journalists and the MOS is voted for by the players.
