From witnessing my father shunning my mother when she tracked the fair down to Rawtonstall, my wife running off with an 18 year old to Torremolinos, losing a lung, having to give up my cleaning job at the abartoir, gaining an addiction to macaroons and waking up on a bus in Ravensthorpe unable to remember the last three days of my life covered in my own urine and the remains of a Ginsters Cornish pasty I have tasted lifes bitter pill.
