Surprised to note that Senior got 2 try assists this week considering Hall beat Gardner to score his second. It just shows you can never double guess the criteria used as it appears to change from week to week.

On that evidence Leeds are as much a one man pack as Saints.

JJB & Sinfields tackles deserve a meantion. Although although the team as a whole missed too many.

Is that poor attack or very good defence. Or even constant offside by saints?

Probably moreso I'd say overall. The St Helens pack stats are looking a better set and more balanced.

Lauititi' offensive stats (carries & metres per carry) are impressive.

He was the one that worried me most in attack for you guys on Friday, his footwork before contact is amazing.

If he is even close to top form he's more than a handful for any defence

The fact that we beat you and never really looked like losing tells you: whilst stats can be impressive they don't tell the true story!! Your captain said the best team won and your coach said the best team won and you didn't do enough to win!! 3.8 meters per carry got the job done!! Ask FGB If his all mighty stats are any consolation to him right now?? I bet there not!!

I'm sure Ablett ran thre ball in more than 6 times.

I think the stats prove how tight a game it was. If Saints were to click in an attacking sense I think we could see the best game of RL for decades in this country. Leeds would then be forced to step it up and I've convinced you could.

These statistics have been shown week after week to be flawed. Chief statistician TVOC even qualifies them when he presents them.

Comparing the stats for the two packs you would think they dominated ours.

The Leeds stats may look weaker in terms of metres made because we spent a lot of time camped close to the Saints line...

Couple of things that stand out to me is that Leeds were clearly intent on shipping the ball wider to Smiths and Donalds wing whilst Saints played it down the middle, I suspect the Saints three quarters stats are much lower than ours.

Whilst we only had one recognised hooker we still made alot more runs from dummy half despite what the stats suggest was behind a dominated pack so I dont think the stats are telling the full story.

That is a telling statistic for me. I always feel when Leeds are playing well they have an effective offload game. 21 is their fourth best figure this season although the weather has a part to play.

St Helens lack of an offload game removes one of their biggest threats.

That shows how good a job we did on TP!!

coming out from their own line they did for most of the game. they were making 40/50 meters before getting to the kick easily most sets, don't remember a set where leeds managed to keep them inside saints own 20

Our go forward and yardage has been woeful all year. We are reguarly kicking on the last tackle just out of our 40.

Just because we are top of the table doesn't mean there are no areas for improvement before anybody claims there isn't.

TVOC,you are clearly the best statistician ever,but what do you reckon to opta's efforts?
i reckon they have missed a trick or 2 with catagories that they don't monitor each week
Opta clearly don't do statistics for "Skid marks in the undies"
but i'd bet that last weeks "skid marks" in the saints players undies would have broken all records
