That Carnegie don't pull in the same size crowds as the Rhinos isn't a point for debate.

If you look across the two elite competitions in the UK however, GP attendances compared pretty favourably to SL ones. I'm struggling to think of the last GP game to draw a crowd of less than 2,000 for example.

I don't debate that RU gets (overall) bigger gates than League, just that the attitude it is portrayed in by the RU press tends to suggest that the difference is "tens of thousands" when clearly it isn't.

It's always going to be difficult to really compare gates as the seasons are not aligned and we don't get to see the number of "Free" or "Corporate" tickets included in the respective figures.

No arguments there - it's all about perception, and until RL can pull in big crowds outside the M62 corridor other than for the Cup Final it's going to continue.
