Les Catalans are a waste of space after today. The door is now open for Bradford to pinch 8th spot.

I was looking forward to them missing the play-offs for the first time this season. Oh well never mind.

As for catalans they have to win next week to get into the 8 and we don't know how saints will turn up next week injury wise after friday night or potter may rest some for the play-offs so i wouldn't say it's a foregone conclusion.

My point from last night stands that for the integrity of the League Leaders Shield Leeds and St Helens should kick off their final regular round matches at the same time.

You know just like Leeds were ordered to do last season in the same circumstances.

fair point but we had a tougher game last year home to wigan a week after the cup final. can you really see salford beating leeds twice in one season?

It's the integrity aspect rather than the quality of opposition aspect (which to me is irrelevant here.)

I agreed with the Wakefield - Leeds game being moved at short notice last season to ensure neither side with a mathmatical chance of the League Leaders Shield gained any sort of an advantage before kick off.

Had the game been left on the Sunday and had St Helens lost (which they nearly did) Leeds would have known by how many they needed to beat Wakefield and would have no doubt played accordingly.

Integrity shouldn't be something you find, then lose, then find again.

Hull v Bradford has been picked as the TV game for Friday, so Saints v Catalans will definately be staying on the Friday too.

Well, it looks like Sky might have changed their minds after Catalans lost and Bradford won...hence giving the Bulls a great shout of getting in the top eight

Depends as points difference will be affected by a combination of the two games.

Leeds lose by say twenty (yeah I know but bear with me) St Helens would have to beat Les Catalans by fifty. Not impossible given Les Catalans current mindset of desperately trying to avoid play off football this season.

As long as both games kick off at the same time I have no concern.
